T3 Micro BodyWaver Styling Iron

I would actually give this 4.5 stars, because it's not quite perfect, but I really like the results, so I rounded up. I've been straightening my fine, curly hair for 10+ years with a CHI. I prefer having straight hair over my natural look, but I got really tired of the flat, limp, straight hair; especially the stick straight ends that the CHI gave me. I was considering either the T3 Bodywaver or some high quality, large hot rollers. I wasn't very confident that the hot rollers would make the top and middle of my hair straight enough, so I went with the Bodywaver. When I received it, I plugged it in, and immediately started using it, burning my ear pretty badly on my very first try. I'm not used to the size of the barrel, and without even really thinking, clamped it down on my hair close to my scalp (like I did with my straightener), burning my ear. So I put it down and watched a couple of YouTube videos and tried again with much more success. It took 2-3 times before I really got the hang of it. I really love the results and I don't have to use my straightener at all anymore. My hair has more volume overall, and the ends have some curl that even without hairspray last all day. My hair looks much more 'done' than it did with just straightening, for the same effort it took to straighten it. I'm not sure how this works on other hair types, but for my fine, curly hair, the 2nd heat setting works perfectly.

I really loved the unique size of this styling iron. But when I traveled with it shortly after purchase, the plastic piece on where you open the rod shattered when wrapped safely within my luggage. They would not allow me to purchase a replacement piece so I started wearing a glove when I used it. And now I dropped it on a carpeted surface and it broke if in half. The plastic is more like glass. They made no move to stand behind their product when I contacted them.

This is a great iron for someone who wants sleek hair with a little "bend" at the ends. It mimics a blowout but don't expect any miracles. If your hair is straight when you get it blown out with a little volume and the ends curled under then that's what this will give you. It heats up super fast and is a gorgeous iron, but isn't stable when sitting on your countertop and the finger clamp bends in after several uses making it difficult to open the iron and get hair around the barrel. It's not worth the $150 retail investment, but if you're looking for a cross between a straightener and curling iron and willing to overlook a fee design flaws then this may be for you.

I loved the idea of this and it did as advertised and gave my hair smooth volume without curls but the white finish started peeling off in less then a month. Amazon gave me a very prompt refund and free return shipping.

PROS: I've bought many different styling products over the years, and I believe I have finally found the one. After reading the reviews on the T3 Bodywaver, it seemed to be what I needed. My hair is of fine texture and doesn't respond well to a flat iron. I wanted the flat iron look, but was never able to find one (no matter how much I spent) that didn't crimp my ends and make them look unhealthy. This curling iron makes my hair look smooth like it does when my stylist blows it out. It heats up very quickly and glides through my hair!CONS: As others have mentioned, this curling iron has one major design flaw: it rolls over very easily. Instead of having the metal clip stand most curling irons have, it has a very pretty metal piece that sits on the counter. The curling iron falls forward and rolls over. I knew this when I bought it, but was more interested in the positive reviews I read about the hair results. So when I ordered it, I also purchased a Colortrak High Heat-resistant Station Mat (looks like the square silicon pot holders), which I put on the counter underneath it. Now I don't have to worry about it burning anything. However, I do believe the manufacturer should revisit this design flaw. At this price point, one should not have to worry about it rolling over so easily.

It heats up very fast and gets very hot, which makes styling go super fast. My hair is layered and thins out at the ends. Most curling irons don't have enough grip to keep the hair from slipping through. This one does! I have long hair with a combination of wave, frizz, and flat on top. I've been flat ironing for years and was ready for a different look. I have a 1 1/4 inch iron and a 2 inch iron. The smaller barrel make curls that are too tight given the length of my hair. The 2 inch iron didn't give much, if any, curl. It does create smooth look with volume, but I wanted a bit more curl. There are almost no other choices for a 1 3/4 inch iron. After reading reviews and looking at the price, I was a bit hesitant. I'm glad I decided to try it for myself because I love it!

I have had this curling iron for only 3 months and the white color is almost completely peeled off and it sticks on my hair. I DO NOT recommend this product to anyone. I don't even use it everyday. I read the reviews and thought it would be a good purchase and now I cannot return it and have to buy another one. Do not purchase this unless you want to picking white stuff out of your hair.

I gave this product three stars only because it did not work on my hair the way I expected it to. It is a very good looking item. Handles a little awkwardly, but other than that it is a nice item. One thing to be careful with is that it gets very hot so try not to use it on the highest setting until you are accustomed to it. My hair is long, thick and frizzy.

Works best with longer hair to give a loose wave. Not a curl. Shorter layers just come out looking like Gail Tilsley. Once your hair is longer though the wave is very casual and sexy. You only need it on half heat for medium straight hair as it gets very hot.

I don't know what people are talking about this product,is easy to use and manage.I have long thick hair and I used today and I have a blow dry like I walked out the hairdressers.I have ghd tongs thinner though and I get tighter curls.The t3 gives thicker curls that end looking like a very nice blow dry.

Very happy with this curling iron. It gives my hair nice loose curls, yet the blade is heavy enough that it also straightens/smoothes out the hair at the same time.

Ordered this product twice, and received different item both times

These are excellent tongs but with very different results to what I anticipated. Rather than big bouncy curls, they give my longish layered hair lots of body and bounce with big waves as opposed to curls. I love the look but just to let people know I can't make them curl my hair.The tongs are very sturdy and well made. They heat up quickly and have a range of temperatures which the instructions explain what hair type to use for. The barrel is huge and is very easy to use as the grip is fantastic and tight. It grips all the hair in the section and can cope with a big section of hair at once although the results are not as good if you do that. The tong has a long swively cable for ease of use and a built in rest which I don't rate as it keeps toppling over so you still need a heat resistant mat.I do love these tongs but just be sure they are what you are looking for as my hair normally curls easily but these are too big for curls of medium length hair and instead give big bouncy waves which are lovely!
