Libbey Carrington 16-Piece Tumbler and Rocks Glass Set

Got these because I was looking for something elegant yet simple, with a style that wasn't way too common. These fit the bill! The small glasses are cute and fancy. I can imagine serving cocktails in them or something. The tall glasses are a bit difficult to wash and feel just a tad too thin at the top, but overall, work just fine and look great. The quality is good, with a couple out of the pack having defects like swirls in the glass itself, but this is a minor gripe. They feel sturdy and weighted in the hand so I can feel confident a clumsy bump into the table won't send them flying onto the floor. Very happy so far!

We have had these glasses for years. For some reason, a few members of the family have had the dropsies! So often , that I can tell if it’s the tall glass or the short that broke. I had been buying replacements one at a time from a website. Then one day, I checked Amazon! We got 16 glasses for the price of 2 from the other place. We are very happy to have our clean cut, stylish Libby glasses once again.

One of the iced-tea glasses exploded while I was washing by hand. It sliced my knuckle and hand up. I have no idea what caused that; never had anything like that happen before. So far, it's just the one glass that busted like that. Otherwise, these are great glasses and I've gotten compliments on finding unique, squared tea glasses, tumblers and juice glasses.

I'm picky about my glasses. For me, it's hard to find glasses that are sturdy and also not too thin at the top. I recently needed to purchase a new set of glasses and finding ones that met my requirements of not being too thin was becoming frustrating. The ones I found were visually perfect and well weighted at the bottom, but the rim was too delicate.Having had luck with Libbey in the past, I saw these glasses on JCP, but the price was cheaper here. I loved the square design, very simple, but attractive with a great base.When they arrived, I saw the tumblers first. I hefted them about, examined the rim, and loved them. The size was perfect, the weight was perfect, the design was ideal. I could see that they would be easy to wash and to use. I was absolutely thrilled. However, then I got to the coolers and was so disappointed. I didn't realize that the width of the coolers was smaller than the tumblers and, unfortunately, the rim was also thinner. Looking at the stock photo, it's clearly different, so it's my own fault for not looking closer. Still, I assumed the coolers would simply be taller versions of the doubles.This wasn't enough for me to return them, though, because the doubles were perfect. If I could just send the coolers back and get 8 additional doubles, I'd be really, really pleased. But I can't. So I'm keeping the set, but being mindful of the thinness of the coolers.

Very nice set of glassware. I've had them for about 2 months now, and they've held up well under heavy usage by a suite of college guys - no chipping or cracks. Only qualm is the narrow neck of the taller glasses is hard to fit a hand in while scrubbing, but that's more of a me problem. The heavy base is great and brings the center of gravity down a ton, preventing easy tipping.

I got these today and I was very happy with them. I wasn't REALLY sure how well I'd like them by the pictures, but they have met my expectations. Casual, yet classy. Fit in my hand well and good sizes.My only worry is that the glass is thinner at the top and I don't think they will handle much "abuse" so I'd advise hand washing and not throwing them in a sink of other dishes. That said, anything you care of should last and I'd expect no less here.

These glasses are attractive and lightweight but made so incredibly thin that they are dangerous. Only my second time cleaning them and today one of them burst with my hand inside of it. It's been 5 hours since and my finger is still bleeding if I remove the bandage. I will probably have to get stitches. DO NOT BUY!

These glasses look beautiful! They really sparkle for some unknown reason--much more than any other glass I have owned. I love the square features because I love drinking from the corners instead of from a curved glass so there is no opportunity for spillage--really handy if it is grape juice!
