CapPro Removable Decorative Drain Cover

We just did a “Dream Kitchen” remodel in our 1929 house. Twin 36” Sub Zeros, Thermador range, new cabinets, quartz countertops with a deep, single bowl under-mount sink. My wife is very happy with it and wouldn’t change a thing. She didn’t know this type of cap even existed. I ordered it and put it in last night and her response was epic. She saw it and said “Oh my goodness! I never even knew I wanted one of those!”. Yep, $80k on a new kitchen and I blew her socks off with a $20 sink cap! First, don’t confuse this cap with one which costs half as much, by GZILA. That one is a sink STOPPER, this one allows water to flow freely past it while installed. Second, I installed it over an ISE Disposal (the industry standard), and as you can see, it is a perfect fit. Others have commented on it not fitting tight and that is true. There is a slight amount of “play” when it is installed, but very little. I have included two separate up close photos with the cap installed. One of them is “centered” and one is with the cap intentionally slid to one side as far as it will go. See if you can even tell which photo is which. This cap will also fit the non-disposal side of a two well sink (Hint: all kitchen sinks [not all wet bar sinks] have standardized holes for drain connections, it is literally “one size fits all”) , so you might want to order two of them. If you are proud of your kitchen, this is the item “you never knew you needed” to make it look so upscale. Just buy one (or two) already. I doubt we will ever be without one of these again.

Was looking at single line cold water faucets for filtered water and came across this drain cover .. I didn't know or think I needed it ... well, it got here a few days ago , looks great and works great ... it ain't going back , I like it ! ... I found out how to keep it from getting dull looking with water spots when it drys .... a well spent 2 minutes - polished it with car wax ! Like everything else there are cheaper ones but they are not this one , this is the one to buy . This is not a stopper for holding water and filling your sink , it is a decorative cover that is well made !

We have a KRAUS double sink - one smaller for garbage disposal. I always hated looking into the dark hole of the garbage disposal in the small sink. The black rubber around it always looks dirty to me. Not to mention the occasional spoon that would slip in or cap from a bottle and then would shock me when I went to use the disposal not knowing it was in there. This beautiful stainless steel cover changed all that. No more black hole and the beauty is water drains right under this so the only time I have to remove it is when I actually want to use the garbage disposal. This makes my sink look cleaner, sleeker and just works! It is great.

Fits perfectly and looks very nice

I wanted to update our sinks but we have limitations due to our granite countertop. These covers fit perfect and are easy to clean. They fit over the drain hole for easy installation. They are great quality! I also love that the water can still leak to the drain without removing the cover!

This cap gives my sink a very finished, upscale look. However, I don't use it much because my sink only has one drain, and it blocks the disposal. I should have realized that this was the case before I bought it. This cap is mostly decorative. Use it when hosting parties, perhaps.

This drain cover does what it’s supposed to; it covers the drain. It has little feet on the bottom side that keep it sitting slightly higher than the bottom of the sink. Water and small food particles can drain easily, but larger debris can’t get by. You simply pick it up to let larger pieces of food into the garbage disposal. It’s a rather elegant cover in that it covers the entire drain area without impeding the draining of water and the stainless steel finish is quite pretty. If it gets any build up (like calcium from the water) I just wash and wipe it off. Who would think a drain cover could be so pleasing to look at?

Looks really nice in the sink and works as advertised (water runs out under it while it stops larger things from falling into the drain). Specifically, it fits the Insinkerator garbage disposal drain (just under 3.5") fine (just a little loose) but is too large to fit the sink in the garage where the drain hole is smaller (3"). Measuring the plastic tabs suggests this drain cover will work for drains 3.25" diameter and above. Not sure what the maximum drain size it would fit, but should be OK for drains up to 3.75".

Covers the ugly drain and makes the sink look clean and tidy.

It looks nice covering the drain hole and block large food items from flowing down. Other than that cannot think of any other functions.

I was really excited to use this product but ended up returning it. I have a Kraus sink and it just doesn’t fit the drain well. The water moves it around so it’s never perfectly centered and the water sits on top of the drain cover instead of flowing off, so it just ended up being another item for me to clean. I was disappointed with the fitment with my Kraus sink, and the fact that it just flops around in there doesn’t ever give it that nice decorative look I was going for. Also it doesn’t work with the strainer and it fits even looser over that. All in all I didn’t want something else to maintain and fiddle with, I’ll just leave the strainer instead.
