Quality Product for a Small Network
This is really great. It worked fine straight out of the box. You can manage it from your PC and configure the more sophisticated features from there.

Solid value for the money.
Solid little gigabit switch with just enough “smart” features to be useful. Out of the box it works exactly like a normal unmanaged switch — plug it in and it just works. If you want VLANs or basic QoS, those are available through the web interface without being overly complicated. The one thing I’d recommend right away is updating the firmware. The update itself is easy, but the file you download comes as a ZIP and you need to extract it first — the switch only accepts the .bin file. That tripped me up for a minute. Accessing the web interface was straightforward once I checked my router’s DHCP list for the IP. There’s a Windows discovery tool, but I didn’t need it. Performance has been solid and it’s completely silent. The metal housing feels decent for the price and it runs cool. Pros Works immediately as a plug-and-play switch Stable gigabit performance Silent (no fan) Simple web interface Useful features like VLANs without being complicated Cons Firmware updates are manual (no automatic update) Firmware download requires extracting a ZIP file first Discovery tool is Windows-only Bottom line If you want a reliable basic switch with a little extra control when you need it, this is a great option. It works perfectly as a “dumb” switch but gives you room to grow later.

Good switch. Good features
This works great as a manageable network switch. Setting up is very simple. I have assigned it a fixed IP so that it is easy to identify and manage. No issues whatsoever.

Plug and play, use it like you would a power bar. You don't need to know or do anything else.
Works just fine and cheaper then purchasing from retail store, you do get a plain box and a universal plug with the adaptor for your region, so I guess that's how they sell it cheaper. I bought this to replace the same unit that failed after about 4 years. The old one still connected but all ports were limited to 100 Mb and couldn't get the full gig connection, the power light also failed to light up. The new one is totally plug and play, I didn't even bother connecting to it via the 162.1.192..... or whatever......it just works and no one else can connect to it so I'm not worried.
