Charging cradle a must
I’ve just bought this for my Father and the whole idea is great but it’s very complicated. The instructions don’t go far enough for example how do you take the back off the phone? Yes, it sounds common sense but I was worried in case I was forcing open the wrong area but eventually just went for it. Same with the lanyard. It doesn’t say you need to take the back off, hook it on the bottom and then put the back back on to secure it. Finding a cheap sim is a nightmare as we only want this phone for 4 number calls and the first one I tried ‘ID’ from Carphone warehouse took a week to register and then didn’t have an indoor signal (Three). I’m happy adding numbers and ICE details but linking to internet services was totally beyond me and again I had to look at a community forum online where I had to manually enter complicated details. All these issues aren’t really about the phone but they are connected so it’s worth mentioning. I’ve not even finished setting it up yet after a week and it appears that you can only register with Doro through the phone which is a time consuming process due to having no keyboard but that part is now done. I bought the charging cradle which is the easiest way to get my dad to charge it himself and i think that’s one of the most important items although it holds it charge extremely well. So far, if it’s just about the phone itself I’m very happy but don’t forget about the extra issues to get your phone actually working

Useful but very fiddly set up
Very fiddly to set up. Unlikely those the phone is aimed at would be able to set this up . Simple to use in pressing buttons . Over priced for simplistic technology
