TRESemme 2776U Salon Professional Volume Styler

I bought one of these when they first came out ,well over 12 years ago...it was great and worked so well but gave up the ghost after 10 good years of constant use. I decided to try something new and bought a more expensive rotating brush but never got the same result, so bought another brand and still not as good, both very much more expensive and famous brands . I should never have gone for something different .So I have gone back to my tried and trusted hairdrier and am over the moon with it. Dries the hair with a beautiful shine and gives a lovely body to the hair . Sometimes just because it is more expensive and a more famous brand , does not mean it is better ! Will never change this hair drier again and if it lasts another 10 years like my old one did, I hope I will be able to find the same replacement !

I've recently bought a 2nd of these after having my first one for YEARS. It's not as fancy as the modern expensive brands but it does a great job of smoothing hair & adding a nice curl / wave at a fraction of the price. It does everything I'm looking for. Easy to use - just plug it in, adjustable heat & fairly light weight.

Dries hair beautifully without frizz.

I was unsure whether to get this dryer or the babyliss with rotating brush. I decided on this as the reviews on the babyliss bristles weren't good. I have now used it before work on dry hair to give my hair some volume and today i have washed my hair and used it to dry it. It has given my curly hair shape and volume and left it with a nice shine. I do not want dead straight hair as i normally get with straighteners but this helps straighten my hair but with a bit of lift. I found it sufficiently hot enough on the lower heat setting and then switch to the cool setting. It is hot, hot on the highest setting but nice to have the choice. I did not dry my hair with it until my hair was nearly naturally dry as advised on the leaflet and i did not towel dry my hair either. I am pleased with the results so far and find it easy to use. I'm hoping as one review says that it won't break down after 5 minutes. Will review again if it breaks down but otherwise i am pleased with the results. I i have tried many brush type dryers and this one suits my hair better than others with it larger barrel. It feels quite sturdy and i found it easy to use. So far it all seems pretty straightforward to use. If it also had the option of a rotating barrel then it might be even better.

Used this make before Unfortunately after 6 years it broke , time to replace .Although there are lots of updated heated brushes , I will stick with what I know .The price is fantastic and hopefully it will last as long as my previous one .Definitely recommend this !!

I first saw this type of hair styler being used at my hairdressers by a customer drying her own hair and was intrigued, as I had not seen such an appliance before. I decided to investigate the types of stylers available through Amazon (and other sites but as usual Amazon product and customer feedback was the best). I have been growing my thick, straight hair for over a year, getting it to a chin length graduated bob. As those trying to grow their short hair longer knows - this needs a lot of patience and many a time I have almost had it all cut off again. My main problem has been styling my hair with a hairdryer and a brush, as well as sectioning the hair - using a round brush proved beyond my capabilities! Also although I have thick hair, for some reason I just could not get the volume I wanted. Well, with trepidation I decided to purchase the Tresemme Volume styler and ..... I absolutely love it. I have only used it twice so far, so am still learning and need more practise but on the whole it is very easy to use. Yes, as others say, you do have to section the hair but not excessively; I find it helps to dry the hair a bit first, with a normal hair dryer, but would think if you had fine hair (or least not the mop I have!) a towel dry would suffice. I worried that my hair might get tangled in the brush - absolutely no worry there, hair winds around the brush comfortably and it is easy enough to draw it down through the hair. I tend to dry the roots first and then draw down the hair to dry the rest. This certainly seems to create more volume and I can even dry my fringe with the brush. It has three heat settings, hot, less hot and cool. I found the middle setting (less hot) the best for my hair. People talk about using heat protecting products, my hair seems to be strong and doesn't dry out but if I find it does I may use them; I am old fashioned and still use mousse! So, any of you out there is wondering about this product, I would not hesitate to recommend it!
