Gilmour Repair Kit for 19T K119

I purchased an older Snap Cut pruner for a dollar at a consignment store, the only problem was the missing anvil. I knew there were refurbish kits available for them so I rolled the dice and hit Amazon in search for the kit. The few problems I encountered with this kit had to do with my older pruners and a little bit of refitting the new parts to work with them. First, the anvil needed a few strokes with a rat-tail file for the screw to fit (not a big deal.) Secondly, the new blade also needed a file to fit treatment. I kept the old blade since it was in great shape and did not need replacing. If you have a newer Snap Cut in need of some TLC, this kit includes everything you should ever need to get them back in shape. My kit included a new blade, bolt, and nut, anvil and screw, flat spring, and even a rivet for the spring! I may even have enough parts to mend my other Snap Cut.

I've had my Gilmour anvil pruner for more than 15 years, and when it started getting too tired to cut even smaller branches, I looked at a replacement...typical: now made offshore, not in CT as mine was; cheap, thin handles, not sturdy, chromed steel, like mine, etc., etc. Then I found this repair kit, AND it was on Amazon...a no brainer. I ordered it, and had it in a couple of days. Instructions that accompany the kit are are detailed, and the kit has all the parts needed to basically restore an aging 19T to new condition. What a buy! I am getting another kit to keep on hand...only trouble is, will I be able to find it in15 years?

I was tickled to find new blade and anvil for this ubiquitous tool. It has the parts you need and just enough instructions to do it; for both old and newer version.

I like the fact that I can install a new blade with ease. Unfortunately the product didn't come with a new anvil like pictured.

...wow, what a disappointment!!! I received the package today and when I opened it the parts were out of their package in the shipping envelope.... the only parts I could find was the blade, the blade mounting screw and nut, and the spring... the anvil, anvil screw, and the spring rivet were not there...., I should have sent it right back, but thought I might be able to get by with the anvil and spring that was on my clippers, but even the new blade doesn't work right, it is thinner then the original blade so it wiggles a little... so, I give up, and will just buy another pair of clippers.... bummer!!!

Does the replacement job exactly, could't ask for anything better

Incomplete, it only had the flat spring replacement in the little envelope, mo blade no anvil the spring was the only item I did not need but that’s what I got! What gives?

Works perfectly and really like how easy it was to use.
