I bought this to store the litter that I have scooped into bags from my cats' litter boxes until the trash is picked up. When closed there is no odor. Works great.

These are great for storage. I have four of them on my deck this winter; two hold the bird seed/sunflower seed for my outdoor feeders, one has cooled wood ash from the fireplace, and the third will hold kitchen compost until I can add it to the raised bed garden boxes in spring. They are sturdy and the handel, when positioned up, holds the cover on snuggly (so no blowing off in the winter wind.) Other 10 gal pails I found were short and squatty, or did not have a cover. The taller, narrower design lets me have room to line several of them up in a small space.

Perfect size for the porch and that it closes tightly. Use kitchen size garbage bags, a good fit.

Second one purchased, storing bird seed for my wife's feeder outside. Tried other plastic but the squirlls and raccoon's woud just chew thru the plastic pails and pull off the lids. This handle "locks" sort of, to the point they can't get the lid off, is galvanized coated so it doesn't rust and holds a 48 pound bag of seed. May purchase a couple more in the Spring, to keep her potting mulch dry.

Thinner than I thought it would be. The lid was pretty dented in when I got it, but I pushed most of it out. It takes a kitchen sized trash bag easily.!

I really wanted a 5 gallon bucket but couldn't find one. This is a very nicely made trashcan with lid. We use it for the doggie deposits. Since this one was so large I put a 5 gallon plastic bucket with a trash bag for the deposits. Turns out this is much better!

I have used these to hold objects and the can ships fast and it’s lightweight. It doesn’t have a watertight seal in case you were wondering.
