Ibanez man Ibanez
I have a very old Ibanez Standard Wah Fuzz which I bought from a guy and it must be about 40 years old. A nephew borrowed it and when he returned to me I realised that I needed to do some repairs. I don't have time so I bought this a month ago. I was going to buy it from Zzounds but AMAZON's service keeps me returning.Ibanez WD7 WahCONSTRUCTIONWell built with a metal frame. The rocker-pedal is tough and the hinge seems to be durable. I'm hoping it will last 40 years old.FUNCTIONALITYAll the controls have been well placed and they work well with a simplicity in adjustment. The battery is easily accessed without the need for tools or knobs to turn. There is a nice range adjustment so the user can choose where the wah swell starts and ends.LOOKSGunmetal and black. The rocker-pedal has a modern appearance too.SOUNDVery good. No buzz. No depletion of tone(no tone suck). Adjust the controls and get some nice funky rhythm, play with some feedback or with anything in between. It's going to take a lot of motivation to repair my Wah Fuzz now... Maybe when I have to play some Jimi Hendrix.PRICEExcellent! I paid $97 USDCONCLUSIONVersatile Wah.Excellent purchase and Guitars and Gear kept the delivery promise in time.

One of the most versatile wah pedals I have ever played...
The Ibanez WD-7 Weeping Demon is another great breakthrough for me as a heavy-metal guitarist, since my other wah pedal ceased to work after some over-abuse. I had a Dunlop CryBaby GCB-95 (I believe) and I use the wah-pedal quite a bit, and this served as an extremely great replacement (equally, if not, better.)I played this at a local guitar dealer before, and I immediately fell in love with it. I decided to order it here since it was a bit cheaper brand new, and I am completely satisfied. The cool thing about this pedal is that it's got two different modes to engage the wah (Auto-wah and Footswitch.) I use the auto-wah feature. It's killer because it turns on as soon as you step on the pedal and the spring alows some push back so when you're finished, it shuts off! (And you can even adjust the delay it has to turn off, the wah's 'Q', Low frequency boost, pitch frequency, etc.) The tone-lock feature is awesome. I found a great setting similar to my last pedal, but with a bigger scoop. Of course, let's not forget the die-cast metal it's built with. I mean, this thing can stand some pretty serious abuse!I highly recommend this to any musician, especially you guitarists/bass players out there. This pedal serves as a bass wah too! Great for any kind of style, from classic rock/jazz/blues to the most extreme groove metal/heavy metal style I play with my band!Thank you Ibanez for providing a great pedal! And, of course, Amazon too!

Why the demon weeps
I like the wah-pedal, but the name of it, "weeping demon" sounds like an excellent name for my man-tool on a lonely night, or just before I go to the Doctor to get a shot of penicillin, to cure my "weeping demon" after getting an STD from a groupie? If it breaks, are we to send condolences to the sniveling, puss leaking, demon? Still my guitars wah, gently weeps.....

Excellent pedal. The make feels solid and well constructed
Excellent pedal. The make feels solid and well constructed. The versatility of the pedal is amazing, I play in C# standard and I'm still able to get a full bodied wah effect without loss of tone or clarity. The settings locking mechanism is also great, but I haven't played live a ton recently so This feature is not especially important to me. When switched off the pedal doesn't mess with guitar signal either, it has a very natural tone and doesn't dirty of the signal. Overall, this is a solid wah pedal for metal players.

Incredible
Did a lot of research on various wah wah pedals before pulling the trigger on this Ibanez purchase. Positive reviews here and elsewhere were spot on. Bottom line...this is one incredible piece of equipment. Sounds 100x better than all other wah wah pedals I've used. Thoughtful design and built like a tank. A lot of easy to understand sound and set up options. Price tag of roughly $100 is extremely reasonable for the value here. Highly recommended.

My Only Regret Is I Didn't Buy It Years Ago
Every positive word written in every other review is accurate: this is the definitive wah pedal. It is every other wah pedal smashed into one. The controls are great and placed in practical spots, rather than cramming them together in a difficult to use or adjust way. The tone-lok feature allows you to making settings, tap them down into their locking positions, and jam away: when I found the sweet spot I'd been wanting out of a wah for years, I locked it right in knowing it will never get bumped or modified -- amazing. The pedal itself rocks back and forth in a really comfortable way. Just because it isn't the thick black look of a Crybaby or Vox doesn't mean you're losing comfort or familiarity -- this thing feels the way a wah pedal should feel.Eighteen years of playing and this is the best one-hundred and nine bucks I've ever spent on my pedal board.

Extremely versatile
This is an extremely versatile wah. Adjustments, fine tuning, galore! Rugged design. Recommend this wah. ONLY negative, size. A little big.

Solid ( Metal) Design w/5 settings w/range & Tone Control Knobs
Love this wah pedal!! I’ve used Crybaby expression/wah pedals for years, but the Weeping Demon really impresses with how much range, tone & leveling you can dial in with the knobs.. My Crybabies usually had 1 setting or none you could adjust, but the Ibanez WD7 has 5/FIVE settings you can control which makes a big difference depending on the tone & feel/vibe of the music you’re playing or want to express..Mechanically, it is SOLID — metal framing & sturdy design.. And looks spiffy next to my other pedals (9 pedals Velcro’d on to a metallic frame that you toss in a “gig bag”)...

Nice pedal.
Nice modern pedal. Springing back action is a novelty. I am waiting for a power supply, to use continuously. The pedal by itself has few variations, which is nice to have too.
