I'm not sure what the other reviewers heard, but the speakers that I had were very *tinny* (high pitched and very little bass). Perhaps they compared these speakers to those in their laptops? Compared to some laptop speakers, I could see how these had more bass than those speakers in their laptops.The lack of bass was unsurprising because the two speakers were small, but I only bought these because of the many reviews that said they had some good bass. I ended up buying the Amazon Basics AC Powered External Speakers, which are a decent copy of the Logitech Z200 that I had before. These two speakers have better clarity and bass, though I prefer the Logitech Z200 ones. I only bought the Amazon Basics ones because they shipped faster and I needed them quickly.

Can always count on Logitech to deliver great sound and quality!

Replacing a 1990's Boston Acoustic speakers with much smaller drivers - for the cost, I wasn't expecting the greatest sound, but these have a very hollow, thin sound to them. The cable connecting them is about 5' in length and does not come out, so no way to move them further apart. They are 'okay', but definitely not what I expected from Logitech, and they don't live up to the glowing reviews on here.

Static if you turn them up more than half way. Terrible sound, absolute garbage.
