Very smooth and enjoyable at all times, preferred for all fusion music listeners.

Didn't like this album quite as well as previous coil CDs. Recording quality, as always, was superb. I really miss Sheffield Labs. They were the best!

100% FANTASTIC

This album is over 20 years old, I don't know how much difference my comment can make!! Pat Coil is my all time favorite pianist. His solo is very melodic rather than the typical improvisation type solos. He play with such a passion you can hear it. The song "The son's remembrance" made me cry listening to it. The tenderness touch, the sadness came through the music. I read something later that his father died during that period, the whole album has a kind of sad underlining to me. I thought at the time that's how he was. But I was surprised when I listened to his second album Just Ahead, that he projected a light happy feeling throughout the album. As a musician, it is much harder to express light and happiness than a tear jerker, who doesn't have a sad story in their life?This and the Just Ahead are my all time favorite albums. AND unlike the other people that review his albums, I don't know him, I am not in the music field anymore, I have no connection to him or anyone that has ties with him. Just a very happy customer.

I've known Pat all my life. Class act, talent, kindness, intelligence, commitment... I'm sure he's not perfect, but I've yet to find the flaw...This album has some of his finest work. Unadulterated, pure, completely inspired. I've heard that Sheffieldlab didn't do him "right" regarding royalties, etc. I am prayerfully hopeful that they will some day correct all wrongs with him, because he's an artist a production company needs to stay on the good side of. And if not, well, it's not stopping him from going to higher places, as we have all seen so far!!!Love you, "Brother Pat"!

While you listen to the cuts on this Pat Coil CD, understand is was recorded direct to disc and you will appreciate the musical talent as well as the discipline each musician was under while playing each song. The songs sound live, fresh, crisp and so clean you feel like the band is right in front of you (of course, listening to this CD on a great stereo will enhance the experience). I wish Pat Coil put out a CD every year. You will enjoy his music.

I've known Pat Coil since 1980 when he gave me an alley kitten with a broken leg in Dallas. He was amazing then as well as now. His outstanding talent as a writer and player is only surpassed by his style and class. Definitely Top of the Line!

Should be packed better, I received a damaged case broken in 3 places on the front. I'd be fine with it if it was for me, but it's a gift for someone special and handing them a broken CD case is just sad.

Very good cd would love to now if there was a more digital version

Amazing recording. The musicians are so synched and play with such joy, it is impossible not to get carried away.
