Paula's Choice-DEFENSE Nightly Reconditioning Moisturizer

After reading some reviews, I was worried about trying this. But honestly, the scent isn’t bad or overpowering at all. If you’ve never eaten REAL CHERRIES, not Maraschino cherries, then it won’t smell weird. And if you’ve ever eaten anything with flaxseed in it, same thing, won’t smell weird to you. That’s all the scent is, just cherries and a hint of flaxseed. It dissipates after a minute or two anyway. This product is really good if you don’t like a heavy moisturizer when you go to sleep. It also makes your skin really soft which is nice. My only complaint is that for how much this is, you get less than a stick of deodorants worth of product. But with all of Paulas choice products, a pea size amount will cover your whole face. So a little goes a long way. Overall I’d recommend this to anyone with oily skin.

I love this product. My rosacea recently got very angry and burn-y. After an exhaustive examination of ingredient lists, I realized I have recently (and randomly) developed an intolerance to Cetearyl Alcohol (found in most lotions for sensitive skin... e.g., CeraVe, Eucerin, etc.). This lotion does not have that ingredient, so it does not make my skin flare. It's a perfect night cream (though not the most heavy, if that's what you're into... More of a medium weight).I should point out the smell everyone is talking about is the same as the unscented lotions that are used in facials... So it's not offensive and disperses quickly.Bottom line: if you have hyper sensitive skin, I would definitely recommend this product.

I like the effect of this product but really hated the smell.

I love that Paula’s choice offers a bunch of their products in “sample”/travel sizes because it’s literally AMAZING to be able to try a couple and see which ones you want to invest in vs closing your eyes and pointing. You can try a variety and pick what works best for you. This was by far my favorite product by Paula’s choice (if not my favorite skin care product EVER). Literal transformation. I spend a lot of time and money on skincare and am pretty happy with my skin usually. This made me question everything I know bc it’s so sad to think that I tolerated my skin with ANYTHING other than this product in my lineup.

This moisturizer is probably good for someone with overly oily skin. It does not work well for those of us with dry skin or combination skin. I also have a 1-2 punch of living in a dry climate, so it really doesn't work well. About 10 mins after I put it on, my skin starts to feel tight and dry. Definitely won't be purchasing again.

I started this line in Mid Feb and noticed improvement in my face. Redness reduced along with tiny rosea bumps. My scars are slowly softening and skin tightening. So in 6 weeks the improvement is noticeable. Also, my face is extremely soft for a woman of 65.

This moisturizer seems to give my 70+ year old face a youthful glow! A little goes a long way! I'm very sensitive to fragrances, but I cannot detect a scent. I thought I would try it because I love Paula's tinted SPF30 moisturizer for daytime.

Smooth and moisturizes but i dont like the smell😊
