I bought these rocks because for the last year or so, we've been travelling and living in a fifth wheel trailer, and despite all the tiny home charms, let me tell you, when you hook that black tank up to some of these public septic systems, some very interesting smells begin wafting backwards up into your bathroom. There are a variety of ways to deal with this, most involving treating your own tank but no matter what chemicals and solutions we put in our own tank, the smells persisted... because they are coming from underground, not from our trailer. I ordered these zeolite rocks not actually thinking they would do much but I had a new shelf in the bathroom and I needed something to put on it so I figured that even if the effect was minimal, it would still be worth it.The effect has not been minimal, it has been remarkable! These were some powerful odors I was dealing with and these rocks truly seem to have made a difference! I am so impressed and would say to anyone considering buying these, don't hesitate, these are really effective, actually pretty attractive as a decoration, and totally worth the price.

I saw on a blog someone has used these to remove the odor of second hand smoke, so I gave it a try as our new house seems to have some lingering smoke odors. These rocks are identical to the ones out in my yard for landscaping. Nonetheless, I really really hoped these were special. I baked them as instructed, and it's been a week. No improvement in the least.

I purchased two of these as you only get about a cup of pebbles in each package. I spread the pebbles in a single layer on an aluminum baking sheet and left them in the Texas sun for two full days as per instructions. The pan & pebbles were set in the bottom of my closet beneath the shoe rack with plenty of air circulation as the rack is coated wire. After one week I can detect a reduction in shoe odor by maybe 50%; it doesn't knock you down when you open the closet door. However, I was expecting a better performance considering the cost and I will not purchase this product again.

I purchased this to remove a persistent (cheese) fridge odor I could not get rid off (although my fridge does have a charcoal filter and all). I was a bit skeptical but it actually worked very well and was very effective at bringing the smell down. You can feel the rocks smelling afterward (a proof for me that it trapped the odor).The recharging is a bit of a tricky pat and i am not settled on if i works or not - the first 30 mnt in an oven at 175 F did not do much (I pushed to 45 mnts, no change). I will have to try again under the sun for a day but worry a bit they will never restore to their initial state.January 2017 Addendum: I tried again to recharge this by baking in the over but it never gets back to its initial state. So I dropped the rating by one Star but to be fair, would note the cost is not very high (and the rocks last a while for one usage).

These volcanic zeolite rocks were my biggest and best discovery yet! I stopped using toxic, chemical products, laden with synthetic fragrances, a long time ago and baking soda doesn't really do the trick for me. When I came across these zeo-rocks, I was completely blown away by their sustainability and their natural sources of origin. I mean, what could be better? They're environmentally-friendly, naturally mined volcano rocks with absolutely no fragrance, they can be recharged in the sun or the oven and reused forever, they're clean and easy to handle, and they look pretty neat in a nice container too! Oh, yes, and they ACTUALLY WORK. I have placed them in the shoe closet, clothing closet, in the car under the seat - whatever smell was there, it's completely gone. I've been using them for a few months now and love the results. Will definitely recharge them in full sun this summer!

I think these work well. I don’t know how they would handle really bad odors but they’re pretty good in the kitchen. And they’re a good conversation piece!

This is an excellent product. I bought it hoping it would take out the musty smell from a basement room. We had a small water leak during a bad rainstorm, and the water came up between the foundation wall and the floor, soaking the carpet from underneath. Even after we dried the water out, it smelled like a persistent fart in here. I ran a large dehumidifier for days and shampooed the carpet twice, but that overpowering stink remained.When this bag arrived, I immediately opened it and placed it on its side next to where the carpet had been wet. I went upstairs and ate dinner. I came back: smell is gone. This smell filled a 100 square foot room, and now less than an hour later it is gone.Now maybe it won't get rid of the smell of mouse corpse, as another reviewer said. But I think that was too high of a standard to ask just about any product, you want Servpro (a contractor) or something for that. This stuff is good for a whole heck of lot more than de-stinking your shoes.No one gave me any free anything for a fair review. But I would sure like a couple of more bags; I will put them all over the dang house.

With so many positive reviews, I was really disappointed in these rocks. I put them in a bowl and put them in the laundry room where our old (and stinky) dogs sleep. There was literally no change in the amount of funk coming from the room (it's mostly their breath, we keep them and the area clean, but their old teeth smell terrible). Sorry to be the downer, but they did not work for me.

Have to be honest, when my wife asked me to buy this I was skeptical!! We have 3 cats and more air fresheners, Yankee candles and plugins than Tesco! After a couple of days of use, you can genuinely smell the difference. Add to that they are re-useable I am expecting my monthly candle and plugin bill to decrease significantly :-)

Pack of rocks, works best/well in small rooms, easy to recharge in sunlight.Fairly bland plain to look at - best to use surrounding something decorative.

I had a wardrobe that constantly smelt fausty / mouldy and looked for a number of options to remove this smell.I'd given things like bicarbonate of soda a go and Febreze but nothing seemed to reduce or get rid of the smell until I came across Zeo Rocks.Item arrived quickly, opened, placed in a plastic tray and put in the wardrobe.
