Vibram FiveFingers Womens Furoshiki Shearling Boot

I wear a 39 in vibram five fingers, between 7.5-8 in US shoe size. The small is a perfect fit. This style is very casual and I find them to be pretty cute! The velcro band along the shaft is wide enough to accommodate athletic calves such as mine....BUT I find that they did make the narrowest circumference too small, like you would need to have pretty skinny calves. However, that is good for people with skinnier calves as I'm sure they feel frustrated at not finding enough narrow shaft boots out there. If you have quite thick calves, I don't think these would work for you and I would recommend the mid boot style instead.The shearling is surprisingly thick... this is great for the winter! However, there is quite a lot of heat transfer through the sole. You will need to get thermal insoles for cold weather... Like the sheepskin or the thinner aluminum/wool kind (cheap on Amazon).these were 50% cheaper than on vibram website (they are authentic because I have neoprene mid boots from vibram website) so great deal!

Love these wrap around boots! First off, I got the XS ( I wear a sz 5, foot measurements are 8.5” to 9”). I saw many negative reviews, but I have a number of VibramFiveFingers shoes and can see how someone might not like the wrap. So glad to have a near barefoot sole! The fleece on the inside is plenty warm for me. Read the information on the website for more info. I am 72 btw!

These boots are great for my daughter who wears AFO's. I wish they had more Velcro range because they are really tight in the ankle even without her afo's on. I ended up taking them to a shoesmith and adding velcro and now they work great! I wish these came in children's sizes and the toe box/sleeve was more flexible and larger. It would be better if more than just the toe went in to really hold the foot where you want then fasten the velcro sides.Update! After 2 months of use the stitching that holds the velcro on is coming up. There is a large 2 inch gap. I will be taking these back t the shoe smith!

The design is really cool and I love the feel of the wool and sheering and the fit in general if I don't need to wear big socks. But the reasons I bought these boots were twofold: First, to keep my feet and ankles toasty in all NYC winter weather with reasonably thick socks. And second, to function as a minimalist shoe that I could practice martial arts in outside.Unfortunatly, they failed at both of these objectives. I found myself trying thicker and thicker socks to stay warm during my martial arts practices, and I came to the realization that it just was not going to keep me warm. I tried a marino sock under thick wool socks and they took up so much space that bloodflow to my foot started to get constricted in order to seal down the velcrow strap. And this was the biggest size offered on amazon eventhough Vibram makes a XXL.Maybe if amazon offered a bigger size than the XL like XXL, this problem would have been fixed.But also, the insole is too narrow for my foot for what I wanted in my martial arts practice.This product would benefit from a wider footbed ( more designed for men's feet) and some way to add insulation and seal in heat better. I probably should not have to go nuts on sock layers just to stay warm with these things...To the credit of Vibram, this is marketed as a Womens boot and perhaps that is why the footbed is narrow... so I gave it 3 stars instead of 2.

I love these boots. They're so soft that they feel like leggings or socks, and I like how they look in person better than in the pictures online. They are by far the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I bought black because I already have a pair of brown shearling boots of another brand. Now, I'm seriously considering buying these boots in brown because they're so much more comfortable than the others (and the others always seemed comfortable to me until I compared them to these boots).

I love the look of these boots, but I had to give them away because the calf part is really narrow. These are not made for althetic body type with bigger calfs as the calf closer will not close. I read reviews stating the same, but I took a chance anyway. The shoe part itself also runs pretty small. My daughter, who’s a runner with thinner legs than her MMA fighter mom loves them. If you are not acclimated to minimalist/barefoot type shoes, these boots are not for you. They are very close to the ground with very little cushion and support. I am a fan of vibram minimalist shoes including the Furoshiki line, but for some reason, the boots fit much smaller/tighter than expected. Only a thin sock can be worn, but they are pretty warm according to my daughter. And they are aesthetically pleasing. Good luck.

I love these. I bought them for winter trip to Germany and Rome. East to walk in as my trip involved extensive walking. Comfortable and stylish. East to put on because of Velcro closure design. Warm in a very cold country. Roll them like socks to pack. They are great! I can’t say enough about these great boots!

The worst and awkward fit. Got a sz medium and the sole was at least a sz9 in length, but the straps were choking the blood flow from the top of my foot and my calves barely fit closed with the Velcro. No matter how many times i tried it wouldn't close up neatly.
