Canon Battery Charger, Model CB-2LH, ReviewI got this Canon battery charger to charge NB-13L batteries and because it does not require me to also carry a power adapter and cable to charge batteries. I just plug it into an electrical outlet using the attached plug. This makes travelling with this charger easy.The charger has fairly small footprint and the plug on the back is recessed until it’s needed. When it’s time to charge a battery, the plug on the back just pops up and is plugged it into the wall outlet.The charger does great charging Canon batteries and I have used it to charge generic NB-13L compatible batteries too. I have not encountered any issues doing this at this time.

Finally bought this for my camera. Finally say goodbye to big chunky charger!

I lost my other camera charger and I bought this one, it works!

This style of battery charger - with universal voltage, fold-out, "shaver socket" & american-style flat pins - should be the standard design for all flat camera batteries.Ask yourself, why do we now NEED plugs, adaptors, power cables and their extra weight when travelling - when most (civilized), Hotel bathrooms have an inductive Shaver Socket installed...?The simple answer is - we don't.This is Canon-made, light, compact, has no wires and charges your camera battery in the specified time, with an LED to let you know what's happening and when charging is complete.All we need to ask is why all camera manufacturers don't include one of these with every camera that they sell, with the actual battery tray & contact pins arranged to suit their own batteries...?Then, if we take this one short step further, why don't all the big camera manufacturers get together with the big battery manufacturers and standardise all the batteries used by all their cameras into (say), a maximum of three sizes.How simple would that be...?And how much of the world's natural resources would that save...?Why not write to the makers of YOUR favourite camera and ask 'em...?

I was scared to buy it because I thought it was mess up my battery but I’m happy I got. It charges my battery super fast and it lasts the same amount of time as my last one.
