VocoPro (DVG777KIII)

I had done a lot of research for a quality Karaoke (CD+G) and DVD player and even had to return one that was very disappointing. This item had previously been returned to the vendor, but turned out to be just fine and a great product for what I needed. I installed it into a portable rack-mount Karaoke and singing setup. It has great quality features and reproduction of video/music, yet is very functional, with a quick open/close Disc drive and read. I have played CD+G (karaoke), DVD and CD music and video through it and they all work great. I still need to try the USB and SD card port, so can't pass anything on yet.

I needed a back-up Karaoke Player and ordered a VOCOPRO DVX-890K DVD Karaoke Player. Had problems; returned it for a replacement. Replacement had same problems; returned it with no replacement; See my Customer review on the returned items for details. Ordered the VocoPro DVG 777K-III Player and so far it's GREAT. Sound, text, useability ALL EXCELLENT. It's simple and well made. Although I'm still testing it and will update this review when testing is completed, I'm optimistic. If it works out as I expect, I plan on ordering another one as a NEWER Backup for my Karaoke system. As a footnote, Amazon Return policy and process is OUTSTANDING IN ALL REGARDS.OCTOBER 08, 2013: This Player continues to perform so I ordered another one From Amazon.com as a back-up unit. The Player may be a good unit, however one of the controls on the unit front did not work. Purchased from Amazon, but came from 'Deal Hunters'. There was no replacement unit available from 'Deal Hunters'; and Amazon will not send replacement if bought from 'Deal Hunters'. (Don't buy from 'Deal Hunters'; it may be the best price, but they may not have sufficient quality stock on hand in the event a replacement is required.) -- This transaction was the first time I was not satisfied with Amazon's service. It would seem that no matter where you get the product, if you sell it, you need to stand behind it (ie, replace defective purchases).

Eject button on unit wouldn't work right out of the box - however, eject did work from the included remote control. Quality Control issue. After reading reviews about Vocopro products I was on the fence about buying this but I decided to give them a try. After sending the product back and getting my money back I know who's products I won't be buying again.

Of the several machines we ordered this one worked the best. Would have made 5 stars but unit lacks an HDMI output

It works and does what it was advertised to do. It's pretty easy to hookup and using it on disc mode flows simply enough. If you use it on SD card mode, it is slightly more complicated to navigate but just takes a little time to pick up on. It's probably explained in the instructions but who reads those things?!

It didn't work out of the box. So I returned it and bought the VOCOPRO DVX-890K DVD Karaoke Player instead.

The mic outputs don't keep the cords in tight so if you don't stand next to the machine and HOLD the cords the mics don't work. This is my SECOND machine with this problem. The previous one did the exact same thing. And on top of a non functioning machine the company isn't good about returns.
