Hotpoint F082740 HD Line SG C10 AA0 Steam Generator Iron, 2400 W, Orange

I bought this steamer as it was very reasonably priced and I liked its retro, industrial looks.It is fantastic and well worth the money. Lots more steam than my old one and really sturdy. Don't pay £300 for a fancy hi-tech version when you really don't need to. I paid £35 for my last one and it lasted 6 years. This one is way better for only a little more cash.

Love my new iron. Had a Bosch one for years but started to overheat hence my new purchase. This iron has powerful steam, much more compact and makes ironing a doddle. Got it at a great price and I love the retro look. Tried to register it online so that I can get the extra years guarantee but can't find where to register. Hotpoint site does not give an option for irons in their drop down menu. I also sent an email which bounced back.. Anyone any ideas?

My first steam generator iron and it’s so much quicker than a conventional iron. Powerful steam, a bit noisy but I just turn the radio up! Great value

Originally I bought this iron, and a much more expensive iron. I used the more expensive and returned this without opening, but after finding a fault in the expensive iron, i decided to annoyingly buy this again, but i am not disappointed! I iron as a side job, so i spend hours at a time ironing so need a good performer. This iron is absolutely great! The steam output is very high, and starts and stops immediately with the press or release of the button, the water tank could be bigger but it still lasts a long time considering how much i iron. The iron itself is quite cheap and plasticy looking, but feels ok. I dont find it uncomfortable at all, which surprised me as I use it so much.It will beep when you need to refill the tank, and the steam is usable immediately after replacing the tank so no waiting around. (You do have to press the power button once you've put the tank back in so it knows it's been replaced, which wasnt in the manual). I like how I can lock it in place when not using it. It doesn't lose pressure at all, the steam pressure and output is consistent throughout despite me using it four hours at a time. It doesn't take long to heat up. It can be quite noisy when the boiler heats the water, however it's not constant so I dont mind, and its reassuring knowing it's working. It has a little hook on the side where you can tuck the cord away.For the price of this iron I am astounded, and so happy I decided to buy it, Again!I would definitely recommend.

Excellent steam and finish on clothes , easy to work with adjusting temperatures for varied materials.This is my forth purchase ( 1 was for use at my employer, s home , 1 given as a wedding gift) I iron part time as a business .Heavier than most to handle however is industrial standard, so worth putting up with it,s weight.The seller delivered overnight as promised and all in very good order.Amazing price I have in the past spent 2 x £160.00 each , worth this , so the current offer is brilliant. Tempted to buy a spare!!

The media could not be loaded. I’ve had a few of these steam generating irons and this one is the cheapest but is...is unbelievable...great steam out put, feels solid, looking a bit odd, great design for storing and moving. You can’t go wrong!

Bought to replace old steam generator, after reading reviews . Price was good and have used a few times now, can be quite noisy on start up. Really happy with ironing results so far. Using ionised water as in hard water area. Instructions and diagrams a bit confusing but everything finally understood.
