I bought the projector just to use as a simple, portable unit and wanted to pay as little possible. With this unit, you are at the low cost end of the market. But what you do get, is amazing value for money!It comes in a simple printed cardboard box. Open it up and you have the unit packed away in a padded carrying case. Inside is everything you need - projector, mains cable, HDMI and phono video lead and remote (you need your own AAA batteries).The instruction manual is basic and easy to comprehend, although the English translation could be better! This is a simple, no frills unit, but it has most of the features you will need. And it is easy to operate, especially from the remote.The build quality is excellent. No fragile bits to snap off and it should be able to withstand lots of knocks and minor abuse. Brightness and picture quality is quite good, although it is a little high contrast and some text can be hard to read. There is minor image distortion and the projection distance to fill a 1.4m screen width was just over 2m. Manual focus adjustment is under the lens, so can be a little tricky to get at. But for what it is, it performs extremely well.The built is speaker will not give you the sound quality you will want, but there is an audio jack socket for attaching headphones or auxiliary speakers.I use it for projecting from my laptop - connection is with a VGA lead and you can use HDMI. It will also work alone by plugging in a micro flash card or USB stick drive and it will play MP4 files directly. You select the source manually and away you go!All in all, this little unit is very hard to beat for such a low price. If you want better, then you will need to start paying at least 4 times the price. Great value, great quality and recommended.

I have a high quality projector for my home theater but I like the idea of a portable unit to slug around for game nights with friends. ELEPHAS Projector was the perfect low cost solution to allow me to hook up all my old and new consoles. Come with an adaptor for analog (Red, White, & Yellow) and built in HDMI hookups.Worked well on a blank wall and even better on real or mock screen. I had the best results setting the projector 10-15ft back. The picture was solid I could easily play and read the text from my console.There is a bit of a hum from the fan but it's about what expected being a projector owner before hand.The audio is nothing special, I wasn't expecting much from this price range. I used a portable speaker with the AUX input which worked well.This is a solid unit if you are looking to buy a cheap screen to have some fun with in different use cases. It's very light, comes with a nice case, very portable, and has a good range of hook ups.This is not not ideal for using as a main Home Theater projector. There's a vast difference between quality and price of a midrange projector.I had a lot of fun with this and would easily recommend this to my friends for purchase. Just need to know your limitations before purchase. Solid unit and excellent quality for what it is.

I have only tried connecting my phone so far, so cannot comment on other devices at this time.To connect my Samsung Galaxy Note 8, i used a Type C to HDTV adapter cable, which worked flawlessly. Upon connection, you select the required input by using the input button either on the projector itself, or the remote control.To test picture quality, i was in a dark room, pointing the projector to a plain magnolia painted wall and tried out a couple of youtube videos. Picture quality was quite good considering i wasn't using a proper projector screen and the wall wasn't white in colour. I would probably recommend using a screen. The sound from the projector was decent, however, for me not loud enough. Im going to get some speakers to plug into the 3.5mm audio jack on the rear of the projector, which should hopefully work.I intend to use this for a photo slideshow, providing i can create one in the correct format, as i had read on the description that the projector is not compatable with powerpoint presentation.

The projector is a really good introduction to projecting, if you're not too sure like I was when buying a projector, you really cannot go wrong.You do have to set your expectations to meet some standards especially at this price though, for example:- the fans are audible, but when watching movies you really don't notice it.- the resolution is only at 800*480 so not great for reading text, however being able to project a movie at 100"+ you have such an immersive experience that resolution really is not a problem.- colours are a bit dull, however get it into a completely dark room and it's super vibrant.Overall, for a £50-60 projector you really cannot fault this thing, it has a very nice looking aesthetic, it's not very big, though admittedly it is rather light, and the user interface is really easy to use and navigate. The included remote really helps as it is very simple to use as well.

For the cost I've been really pleased. I use it for playing dvds on our outside wall and its serves its purpose well. The sound is better than average although plugging a mini speaker into the back improves it but it's definitely not as 'poor' as some reviews have said
