Great but not smart, one big issue
This works great, it records to cloud for free, great viewing angle and alerts to mobile are quicker than my Arlo and show a picture in the notification.BUT, and it's a pity, but it's a BIG BUT, the integration is poor, you can't arm it from any other service, only the schedule on the cam app.It can trigger Alalexa routines, which is handy, but not being able to arm it based on other routines like IFTTT or smartthings etc is a major pity.

Overall picture is great and easy to install. But will only really work with new cameras and app and will not work on PC software, either 3rd party or Dlinks own DVIEW CAM software.Had to return as it does not work with my current camera system. of 5030L Dlink cameras and IP viewer software.The camera and all LH cameras do not have a WEBUI and therefore no admin/ password for ip camera pc software.Very little admin options. Cannot set a perm resolution, have to manually select 1080 every time, no option to perm disable speaker/ microphone.The LH cameras DO NOT work with MYDLINKLITE but MYDLINK app instead and very few if at all admin options.The LH cameras have a 5 mins time out so cant continually view the camera view google home/ alexa.

All about the app: peace of mind when you are away from your home
Purchased in Oct 2019 to monitor house when away travelling. We only use this when the house is empty. Haven't travelled at all since Feb 2020 due to the pandemic, but between Oct 2019 and Feb 2020 was away on a number of trips for a total of a few weeks so used the camera quite a bit.Easy setup using the iOS app (Android app has identical functionality). Basic free service stores recorded video for 24 hours, which is adequate for us. Additional subscription brings more storage and longer storage times. This is a reasonable model and the app does not intrusively ask you to pony up extra money for monthly storage.The very wide-angle lens provides a good interior view of the house. Motion sensor sends notification to phone and Apple watch, with a still photo, when it detects a "motion". The default setting is quite sensitive and detects motion outside the house such as branches/leaves blowing in the wind. It also detects lights shutting on and off (we have some lights on timers) as motion. All of these send an alert, with an image, to your phone (and watch if you have one). You can then boot up the app and watch real time video of the interior.The camera is excellent and provides a high resolution image, but the experience is in the app: I find it quite reassuring to receive random images of the inside of the house when we are away so I have left the motion detection at the default. If this bothers you the sensitivity can be reduce from within the app, even if you are away. Or you can just turn off notifications on your phone.Note that the camera is obviously a camera so difficult to hide. It also has a power brick connected a long cord to supply power. This is also quite obvious, especially if the camera is high up on a shelf (as ours is) and the power socket is near the floor. This is not a hidden camera: if someone breaks into your house they will see it, and probably unplug it, but you will have video of the action.

Very disappointed in this "IP" camera
I bought this camera to fit in with some older D-Link ip cameras I had, the 930 series, and they outshone this in several areas. First, it says 1080p but you have to manually switch it to 1080p every time you want it. And then there is no way to connect to this camera except through the MyDlink app. There is no 3rd party connection available for this, so all the software that I have that works great with the 900 and 930 cameras does not work with this. You are forced to use the simple and relatively useless MyDlink app ONLY (no software version on an app) to interface with this. I tried 3 different SD cards and all were rejected, again, forcing you to use their cloud storage at an additional cost. Not worthy of a purchase, stay away and find a better camera.

I might be the lucky one!
I was worry as hell after reading the previous reviews. It took me 2 days to decide to give a try. It took me no more than 5 mins to setup the camera, and another 5mins to link with my Echo Spot. Now everything runs perfectly.Nice picture quality and best I like is the 24hrs cloud storage.Will give an update if anything goes wrong later. But so far very happy about the camera. Now I need is a video doorbell can link with my Echo Spot. Dlink, if you are thinking making one, let me know!

Weird user interface and no ability to store on local disk (just the sd card) but a good camera
It is disappointing that there is no option to store the images and video locally.Please be aware that this has the wierdest most illogical user experience in the app, you have to think upside down and back to front, but it works and is a good camera

Quick return
I only owned this device for 48 hours. I installed it quickly and started receiving motion and audio alerts on my iPhones with ease. So far so good. But it didn't replay any recorded videos. I opened a support ticket. After 24 hours with no response I decided to reinitialize the camera and it started playing back recorded videos on Micro SD. So far so good again. After I moved the camera downstairs it refused to log me in from my iPhone. I reset and restarted and it then froze again on my iPhone. It was too much trouble. By the time I issued a return note and packed it up I received a response to my support ticket. The ticket response was meaningless and pointed me to log another ticket. So no going back to this device then. If it works for you - it seems to be a decent device for the money. If it doesn't - you are on your own. Good luck

Good piece of kit
Great little camera, does what it says on the box. Took a bit of setting up as you need to set up schedule and automation but once sorted it's a good bit of kit. Only slight issue is it needs to go on the new dlink app so can't link with older cameras on dlink lite app.
