USDA Choice Flat Iron Steak, 8 oz

Really good. First time trying this cut (with a quarantine delivery), and I wish I’d tried it sooner.Seared about 4 minutes a side in a smoking cast-iron skillet with salt, pepper and a light coating of olive oil, then rested for a couple minutes on a plate under foil. Thought it might be tough when I took it out of the package. Not a problem. No fat to trim but still tender. Excellent value.

Amazon Fresh really just needs to find a better source for fresh beef. It’s never very flavorful. What’s up with that? Why don’t you open a butchery division when you come to Arlington VA?

Delicious and tender! Panseared with a little McCormick steak seasoning and boom! Medium on the inside nice warm pink center! Cooks perfect every time. Love these steaks! If your steak doesn’t taste like my sounds then your not cooking it right!

I have tasted every type of steak cut available on amazon, including cuts not traditionally tender. Strip or Top Sirloin may be slightly more tender but this one is better. By better I mean if I could pay the same price for 2 New York Strips I just ordered I would take these every time, hell I would take it over the Pat Lafrieda Filet Mignon. I have eaten over 20lbs of this meat, and the only other mean by Tyson that stands a chance is the choice Rib Eye, it's super consistent. It's between this and very fancy steaks at over twice the price per lb and NOTHING in between.

Steaks really were a good price for each one so you can't complain there. Although I do wish they were a bit more equal in size. All in all they were good for the price.

Especially good marinaded, I just use the recipe on the back of Lee and Perrins Worcestershire and put in fridge for an hour then cut into trips and pan fry. Yummy!

Perfect cut and portion every time. Extremely tender even when pan-seared. Zero waste, great beef flavor. Great to keep on hand for fast beef dinner. The use or freeze by date has always been at least ten days out on my steaks. Extremely pleased and highly recommended.

It's a cut of chuck, so set expectations accordingly. Beefy taste and a bit chewy. Turned out pretty good after marinating and then broiling till medium rare. Like the individual packaging that makes it freezer-ready. Will buy again.
