There's definitely an immediate wow factor to this beautifully refined instrument. Looks gorgeous, and does have that full rich "vintage" humbucker sound and pleasing response I was hoping for. I feel privileged to now own one.There's nothing I can fault with the instrument, but I did find that richness of tone could be further enhanced by changing out the strings for "Custom" Light to Heavy 10-52's. Doing so required, to compensate for the extra string pressure, adjustment of the truss rod followed by resetting of the intonation at the bridge. I had lowered the action slightly, checking that I hadn't overdone it by playing single notes all up and down the fretboard and listening out for any buzzing that I may have caused, first. Very pleased with the "professionalizing" result.

Poor product horrendous aftercare service
This item was ordered to use on a TV programme to help promote the fact guitars don’t have to cost lots of money. Faulty guitar so contacted the seller. To say the service was bad and still is is an understatement. Horrendous start to finish

Beautiful Guitar ...
This is the fifth Benson I've bought and how they can produce such a stunning beauty for the asking price is astonishing. Changed the supplied strings for some D'addario Chromes 11/50, fiddled with the action a bit and it plays like a £2k + jazzer and looks drop dead gorgeous too ! Thrilled to bits thanks very much ....

It's got a fret buzz at fret 12 b string had it at the shop 2 try fix it at the truss rod n bridge it's a bit better looks good but I.ll nt b buying without trying it out again

Beautiful guitar, exceptional for the price.
This looks quite stunning, and as a beginner guitarist the sound is also very good. The strings are light so easy to play. Also the guitar feels more 'alive' than a straight electric. Finish is good. Only small negatives are the set up, the nut is cut too deeply for the thicker strings leading to a bit of buzz, this can be rectified either by replacing the nut or filling the grooves with UV activated glue and re cutting, Youtube videos are available. I would stress though that this is rather a techy issue and shouldn't discourage anyone starting out to avoid this guitar. Highly recommended.
