Menstrual cup for period
Very safe and useful. It never leaked and I am saving so much on napkin and no rash and awful smell. Easy to use

My daughter wrote this review.
Its a good product. Probably could've bought a cheaper more generic one. Consider getting one though. it's much cleaner and better not only for you but also the environment. Minor issues with things like removal but only for the first few times. Be sure to read the handy set of instructions that come with it.

Best purchase ever!
This is a life altering decision! I just love it! For the first time user, you may want to go for something softer. Diva Cup is on the harder end. But again the softer ones may be difficult to insert. It is my first cup and after a bit of reading online and a few videos, this is the most convenient thing possible! No leaks, no mess and much comfort. Go for it!

Low lying .not great.
It didn't fit me well.have used other brand cups which I don't even feel that they r there.but this cup is low lying and poking out .maybe it's just for me it's like that.

Really important information for new cup users
Guys you first need to check your cervix height before buying a cup. This cup is for people with really high cervix. If you have medium or low cervix buy some other brand. Buying a cup without checking cervix height is like buying shoes without knowing shoe number 😂 It may or may not fit you. I see people giving bad reviews, telling the cup is long. The cup is designed for high cervix people!!!! Do your research before posting a review.

The flower pin taken out and then packed to be parceled
I got this bloody parcel without that flower pin in the right corner of the pack as shown. The plastic in the front of this pack was open from the bottom... Somebody clearly took that pin out and THEN packed it to be parceled.

A Silicone Miracle
Genuinely a miracle (for the most part), in the form of a medical grade silicone cup! For reference, I'm 16 and haven't given birth (thankfully). Overall, I get on really well with the Diva Cup. Soft, smooth silicone means you can barely feel it once its inside and the thickness of the material means its very easy to open it once you know how. It takes some practice to figure out how to insert and stop leaks (cover your WHOLE cervix with the cup!!!) but once you get this sorted in 1 or 2 cycles, it's wonderful to just forget about your period for 12 hours! My only problems were that when I initially cleaned it with soap, as suggested, I got a painful bacterial imbalance (the leaflet DOESN'T tell you you can boil it!) and even now, the cup can sometimes make me feel a bit like I need a wee when I'm standing up, but this is most likely a personal problem than a problem with the product itself! The few problems I have with the Diva Cup don't take away from its exceptional quality and performance and so it definitely deserves 5 stars. A comfortable, reliable and environmentally friendly menstrual product. -=-=-=-=-=-=- When it first arrived my box was a bit banged up but the cup itself (and the carry bag) were in perfect condition. The instructional leaflet provided tells you virtually everything you need to know including how to insert and care for the cup, but it does leave out a few bits and pieces. My biggest criticism is that the leaflet implies that you must clean the cup with either Diva-Wash (which is rather overpriced imo) or anti-bacterial soap. I actually got a bacterial imbalance (very painful...) from using soap at all! It wasn't until after, that I discovered you dont need to use anything. It's more than enough to boil the cup in a pan of fresh water for 2 minutes, since it wont burn or melt (see: silicone cupcake cases!) and takes away all risk of rashes or irritation. I personally feel its a shame this information was left out as it could save a lot of money and, in my personal case, pain! The cup itself is made of really nice silicone. A friend of mine has a few different cups, not including the Diva, and this one definitely has the smoothest, softest silicone. It's quite a long cup and so would probably be better suited to people with a high(er) cervix, but could still be used successfully by most! The stem isn't stretchy and isn't too flexible, which is really good for pulling/pushing when need be. The grip rings that run up onto the base of the cup, again, aren't flexible so it's much much harder to slip/lose your grip. On the inside of the cup, the DivaCup logo and "Made in Canada" is printed nearer the top, and measurements (in both metric and imperial) run down the inside for monitoring your cycle, if desired. The four teeny tiny holes punched through the top rim all go through the silicone fully (compared to cheaper cups) but, as with ALL cups, can become blocked with use. This is easily fixed if the cup is filled with water, held against your hand, turned upsidedown and squeezed to force water through the holes. However, the silicone is quite thick. This means the cup is a bit more resistant to folds and pops open with a little bit more force (it shouldn't hurt, though!) once inserted, compared to cups with thinner silicone. Some may desire this and others may not! From what i've heard, a softer and/or smaller cup (like the Meluna S or M) might typically be better suited for a teenager or someone with a small hymen (more easily inserted, less "pop" feeling) but it's purely personal preference and, considering my own age, I got on with the thick silicone really well! An advantage of this is that it's much easier to pop open the cup once inserted. If you've never used a menstrual cup before (like me before I purchased it!) I would say it's a definitely fine to start with as I found out, but there may be better options for a beginner. As I said above, the thick silicone can be a bit difficult to handle initially. A few words of advice - do some googling! Have a look at some other cups on the market and their reviews to see if the Diva is your best first choice. (PreciousStarsPads on youtube is a wonderful resource!!). And don't give up right away. It took me about 1-2 cycles before I figured out how to properly (and comfortably) insert and open the cup, so I would urge anyone to try and stick with it for a bit, maybe wear pads as backups, and just see if you can get on with it! Overall, the few problems I have with the Diva Cup don't take away from its exceptional quality and performance and so it definitely deserves 5 stars. I would recommend this to everyone I know (that can use one!), if I had the guts to shout about my period!

An in-depth review for those who need it.
Subjectively speaking, this cup changed my life. I used to run 4 miles every other day in high school and pads were murder. Tampons were absolutely out of the question and I never thought I'd be content to stick anything in my vagina, much less for handling my menstrual cycle. Yes, the cup makes my work-outs a joyful experience now. However, objectively, this cup is not for everyone. The capacity is lower than a number of other cups and the Diva itself is longer whereas many people may require shorter ones. (I've been considering getting a shorter/higher capacity cup for my first two days, then using Diva for the remainder of my cycle when my cervix moves back up. Yes, your cervix moves during your period. This is normal. The Diva is good in that it's less likely to ride up higher if your cervix is higher due to its longer length making it easier to pull out.) There is also a learning curve people may find irritating. Completely understandable. A cup isn't meant to be shoved into your vagina. You need to fold it first, insert it (aiming toward your behind, not straight up; you need to get it past your pelvic bone), then jiggle it until it "pops" open, ideally still aimed partially toward your behind before you adjust. (Adjust by gently - emphasis on gently - wiggling and pulling to verify that your cup is vacuum-sealed in there.) For those exhibiting pain such as one of the 1-star reviews I read, you're likely opening your cup too close to the vaginal opening/front of your body and are hitting your urethra. Hitting your urethra hurts, so try not to do it. It'll take practice, but it's worth it. If this isn't the problem, then you may need a smaller cup. Also totally fine and normal. We don't all have cookie-cutter vaginas. To get the cup out, you don't tug the stem like a barbarian. Doing so may hurt you. You stick your thumb and index finger in, squeeze the bottom in to try and break the suction and wiggle it closer to your vaginal opening, then you move your fingers in higher, curl the cup into something resembling a U shape, and pull it out. Remember to pull down. If you pull forward, you may hit your urethra and if you've read this far, then you know what that means. Ouchie! The blood can be dumped into the toilet, the cup rinsed/washed, and re-inserted. (It's recommended to carry either a water bottle or a second cup in public places if you anticipate needing to change.) Diva is fun in that it includes millilitres, so you can see how much blood you're losing between changes, though keep in mind that blood isn't the only thing you're losing. Other vaginal fluids will end up in there, too. One common point of confusion is leakage (which can happen, especially if you're inexperienced and/or leave your cup in too long), then you pull the cup out to find that it's only half-full. Remember, the cup is inside. So is your cervix. Your cervix can (and in my case, sometimes does) lower itself into your cup or end up there during insertion, stealing some of its capacity. This is normal. It just means changing more frequently. My period is relatively light, so I get away with 3-4 changes in 24 hours, but sometimes, you need more. Again, we're not cookie-cutter vaginas or cookie-cutter bleeders. This will not be true of everyone. In conclusion, if you are investigating getting a cup for yourself, the most important thing to do is wait for your period, insert a clean finger, and find your cervix. (It feels kind of like pursed lips and no, the cervix is not how far your finger can go into your vagina. Often, your finger can miss your cervix if you're not looking for it/don't know how to find it. Don't fret. It takes practice.) Measure throughout your period where your cervix is and where it moves to figure out what you need in a cup, size-wise. You may wish to own more than one to accommodate your cervix positions through-out. That's totally fine. The Diva is a very long and relatively firm cup that may not be for everyone. If you need something shorter (lower cervix), softer (weak pelvic muscles), or with a larger capacity (heavier period flow/less frequent changes), there are other cups available. However, for myself, this cup is absolutely perfect, and I suggest that you don't write it off, because it may be for you, too. It's sturdy, proudly boasts a Made in Canada label, and reduces waste. (Both of the garbage and financial variety.) Whatever your decision, I wish you luck. Happy cupping!

Ottima, comoda e niente sprechi!
