A pleasant surprise, worth competing against Gaomon's PD560. *Updated*
*Updated to 5 stars, Reason: Bought a matte screen protector on it, now the drawing experience is A LOT better*Anti-Glare Matte Screen Protector Amazon link: https://amzn.to/2ED3Agu (NON AFFILIATE Link)Why read this long and extensive review:I am a simple intermediate artist who’s constantly looking for products that have the best value out there in the tech world generally, but specifically for this case, looking out and ranking drawing tablets that can help out artist’s who are starting out, and intermediate artists like me, I know what to expect when the pricing goes up or goes lower, as long as the cutting corners are incremental and understandable.Drawing Tablets I have used:Huion Inspiroy h950pWacom Intuos Draw SmallWacom Intuos (Pistachio) SmallVEIKK A50Huion Inspiroy Q11K V1XP Pen Deco 01XP Pen Deco 02XP Pen Artist 12(For product specifications, read the Amazon product description part please)FIRST IMPRESSIONS:Ok so I was kind of unfulfilled but became slowly satisfied when the drawing tablet arrived, it was just a plain brown box, with no fancy prints or a picture of the unit outside the box or any presentable typical art cover on the box, just a clean brown box with a nice handle, but, the economical advantage is also well appreciated since no unnecessary boxes are included. When I opened the box, everything was packed securely, mainly that the tablet didn’t budge around while shipped, so little to no chance of having a “Dead on Arrival” situation. I was surprised in a good way and happy while I was unpacking each component up until I got to unwrap the drawing monitor itself because the build quality felt durable, the drawing tablet looks better in person, and the pen? I love it, but more on it later. Lastly, I just love that it included a nice cleaning cloth at this price range, the little things you know?GETTING STARTED:SETTING UP the VK1560 is easy, no need to read the manual. You got three separate (better this way than the “3 in 1 cable type”) wires/cables, one for power supply to the VK1560 going to an outlet, one for the main connection to the computer and tablet, and one cable for the display. Next up is downloading the driver or the software you need to personalize the VK1560 to your liking, went to the official VEIKK website and downloaded the driver, quick installation(Less than two minutes) and I was ready to use the VK1560, easy. By the way, there is a sufficient amount of settings you can fiddle around with via buttons at the back of the drawing tablet in which you can adjust different settings to get the most accurate colors, brightness, tint and more, but luckily in my case, when I turned on the drawing tablet for the first time, I didn’t need to adjust any settings since it was good from the get go, for now at least.BUILD QUALITY/HARDWARE:This to me is the main strength or the main selling feature that stands out the most for the VK1560 based on my experience. The DRAWING TABLET itself feels really durable, metallic adjustable stand at the back with good rubber feet, soft rubber coating on the sides, sturdy and tactile shortcut buttons on the side, the scroll wheel feels precise to turn since it has some nice incremental steps to it, every time you place the pen on the side slot, it provides two satisfying clicks when you secure it, no creaking on any part of the drawing tablet, and again, that soft rubber finish is just lovely and I feel like it’s what makes the overall design cohesive if you will. Now the PEN, the pen has that overall soft rubber finish too, excellent shape, and has the perfect weight in my opinion, two buttons are tactile and the pen nib does not overly retract, you can feel the weight of the pen and guess that there are important components inside the housing, instead of having just a hollow plastic, cheap feel to it like some of the budget pens I have used before. The stand seems to be part of the whole monitor, not entirely sure if you can remove it, but pointless if you do this since it has no screw holes at the back meaning, not VESA compatible. The cables feel thick enough and wear and tear is dependable or good enough in the long run most likely. Only thing I am not a fan of are the soft tip pen nibs that comes with the VK1560, squeaks when you slide it around the glass because it’s a rubber nib, definitely would prefer all hard pen nibs next time.SOFTWARE:Switching gears now to software, unfortunately for the VK1560, software is where the drawing tablet falls short. This is not the best looking tablet software out there in my experience, looks very outdated and just plain bad because of the images being distorted in size, some texts being pixelated and all. Thankfully, this can be updated in the future and hopefully VEIKK listens to my feedback as soon as possible. Using the software is also easy to me but only to an extent though, some features are useless for now, like adjusting the pen pressure, and again this is something that can be fixed via software update, but the main buttons/shortcut keys mapping for both the pen and the drawing tablet’s side buttons does its job flawlessly. Although it’s not the most intuitive interface, you just need time to get a hang of it, if you have some programming background like I do, this is easy, but if you don’t, you really need to take your time tinkering with the whole button assignments, trial by error. Anyways monitor switching is fast, Pen calibration also works well.ACCESSORIES:You get a nice drawing glove, a plastic pen case that housed the drawing pen, along with 6 soft rubber nibs and 4 hard pen nibs, a pen nib remover “clip” style. You also get a white HDMI female to Mini DisplayPort male adapter, and lastly, the most important one, a nice blue microfiber cloth with a “VEIKK” logo on it, touché.DRAWING EXPERIENCE:Just a heads up, I can’t say much about the drawing software compatibility since I only use Adobe Photoshop CC 2015, Illustrator CC 2015, and Sketchbook on a Windows 10 OS, mainly Photoshop, did not encounter any glaring problems so far. The 15.6” screen size to me is the perfect size for me when it comes to drawing on a screen display tablet, nothing wrong with going with a bigger or smaller screen size, 15.6” it just feels perfect to me when drawing. For more than a week, DRAWING on the VK1560 has been fairly satisfying, smooth and responsive. I use the side buttons when drawing and they are so responsive, very functional, like playing on a fight stick for a fighting game if you will. I did not experience any error or bad response whatsoever no matter how easy or complicated the command I assigned on any button, zero problems, this applies to the pen too. To mention one bad experience though, sometimes the cursor goes to a specific area in the drawing tablet that it draws a straight horizontal line when I do a tap, I feel like every time I do a right click on the canvas and tap on the screen after, this line appears, even though this does not happen much and does not really frustrates me when I am drawing, this should be fixed soon by them. My lines when I do my sketching feels natural, inking is very respectable, I recommend you use a stroke-straightener still, and painting is decent due to that 8192 level of pen pressure sensitivity. Overall, I love drawing on the VK1560, flawless honestly and works as it should. (See image for some line quality, some lines are fast strokes, some are very slow).MAIN FACTOR:Personally, the SCREEN SURFACE is my main factor, I want the most paper-feel like surface every time I draw, and as an artist, I do more sketch than paint so that paper-feel is very crucial to me. The VK1560 screen decent enough but not the best one I’ve tried, the screen surface is, well, the glass surface for the screen basically, no protective anti glare screen protector here, which is a downer, but when I got used to it, I did not experience any slipping when I do my pen strokes, still would want a rough screen protector on this though, just a personal preference.OVERALL THOUGHTS AND CONCLUSION:The VEIKK VK1560 price range goes around $345 to as low as $320, that said,I highly recommend this one if you’re a beginner artist looking to transition from traditional art to digital, or if you’re an intermediate artist like me who just wants to draw on a screen for a more natural feel when drawing, and/or just someone who wants to get the most value I can get for my money in a product. So with the VK1560, you’re getting a durable/robust tablet that is too affordable for what you pay, the VK1560 can help you get your career started as an aspiring artist as soon as possible. I place this drawing tablet head to head with GAOMON’s PD1560 for a direct comparison, the GAOMON PD1560 has the better screen surface, but the VK1560 has the more superior pen, battery free pen and feels nicer to use unlike the well tested and respectable GAOMON PD1560 and the VK1560 is cheaper as I write this review. The VK1560 will now replace my Wacom Intuos Draw Small as my main daily driver and I’m happy with this transition for the main reason that drawing on a screen is so much easier and more natural, but at the same time there are little to no drawbacks when I am using the VK1560.TL;DR:The VK1560 is new but surprisingly good, built well, decent color accuracy, superior pen, software is a huge drawback aesthetically but functional, easily one of the top affordable 15.6” drawing display tablets out there and a direct competitor to the GAOMON PD1560 which is a great thing, and lastly, great customer service support for a fairly new brand. Will edit this review over the next month as I use the drawing tablet every day, either stepping the review up to 5 or stepping down to 3, depends on how VEIKK responds to my detailed feedback.

Good Price Good Product
I actually got this tablet last December and finally am getting a chance to review it!I first had trouble with connecting my tablet to my computer, I realized after discussion with the VEIKK tech team it wasn't the tablet's fault it was my computer. It's a Sony VAIO touchscreen computer from like 2010, it has this weird thing where it's HDMI cable doesn't connect to the actual computer, but you can use it as a screen for other things like TV or something weird like that. To the point it was the computer that was being weird. And the tech support for VEIKK were really responsive and helpful trying to troubleshoot and help me out! I'll just use my Wacom Intuous 4 Tablet on that.Anyway, I couldn't use it on my main computer but it works perfectly with my laptop, no problem. I made sure to uninstall all other tablet driver software and it was good to go. I love how light and portable it is and easy to use. For work I work on a Cintiq and if I have to bring work home the VEIKK holds it's own. I love that it's big enough to feel comfortable drawing, it doesn't feel small and cramped, but it's also small enough to put in a backpack and carry it around if you are on the go. You can pretty much set this up anywhere and make some quality paintings/drawings/animation/art. Would highly recommend!

Pretty great!
Pro:For the price, the size, and for a first model this brand has started with, this is pretty great! Good looking screen! Pen responce is nice, the pen itself is not too heavy or light, and the extra bit on the screen to hold the pen is a pen life saver. I know I would have lost mine otherwise. The back connections dont wiggle or anything and the prop up system is simple and strong, does not feel cheap or flimzy at all. On the digital side, everything was pretty easy to set up. Had some directions, send to their website to download the newest update, and setting up the keys was fairly simple.Con:-The minor thing I have noticed is the location of the front keys in relation to the cords in the back. The cords are right behind the keys so when your hand is on there all the time the cords get a little in the way. I have little more on the small side hands and this does not annoy me at all but I could see where some people really might not like this.-Also, while the back has rubber on the feet to stop slipping, the front does not and it kind of needs it. Mine is on a mat so it doesnt slip all that much, and it wouldnt take much to buy a little rubber strip to help stop the slipping, but I do think this is a minor flaw design.Support:Fantastic! Got the tablet but came with the wrong conection so I contacted them, got a quick reply, and they sent me the correct cord pretty quick! This is a new company so I was hesitent. New companys either go one of two ways. One, they set up shop, sell a ton of bad items, and procced to have little care for their customers thoughts or needs. If they run into problems (like trouble with law problems) then they just scrap the brand and open with a new one. Same product, different name. Hence the new brand scare. Then theres two, a genuine new company trying to start up and putting their best foot forward with great custommer support, looking to build a solid brand into the future. This one feels like a solid number two! Conclusion:So this is I suspect this is not the “best tablet” out there, Wacom probably has that title, but this is does a lot for the price its at and there for much more approachable for people to get started on than, if I remember correctly, like $800 wacom screen. So beginners, people upgrading from a screenless drawing tablet, or those wanting to spend a little in a new hobby, I would say this is a solid contender to consider.
