Twist Scrub Sponges, 6 Count (Pack of 1)

Very nice compostable sponges! Hand sewn! Such great quality and totally worth it!I would to update my review as of December 2018 to speak to some of the compaints other users have, yes this sponge wears with vigorous use after about 2 weeks or so, because it’s a biodegrable material, not plastic like most marketed sponges. But it’s reccommended to change your sponges about every 2-3 weeks because of sanitary reasons..so I’m not sure what everyone is so upset about. This is a great product with an even better environmental impact.

I saw these in TJMaxx when I was searching for a cleaning cloth I had bought pr.eviously and loved. The only thing they had were these white twist sponges and I thought, " A white sponge? How stupid!" I owned a catering company for 17 years and I have washed some dishes in my time. Well, I found true love at the sink that night! They are malleable yet dense and hold your dish soap forever, keeping it creamy and useable without being slippery. I even water my soap down. They do not stain easily at all and the scrubby side is very effective for burned frying pans yet safe for fine glassware , and the white color is 100% better looking than the ugly yellow and green ones at the store.

I've been using these sponges for a few years now and wish I could put them on amazon subscription. The sponge itself lasts a surprisingly long time (few months) if not left soaked and frequently nuked. The scrubby portion only lasts about a month, depending on how demanding you expect it to be. The scrubby portion WILL scratch lower quality teflons but not high quality teflon. [Newer teflon is chemically different than earlier generations and far safer to have in the house as well as more durable]. These sponges are biodegradable and if you nuke the crap out of them before disposing of them or if you're vegan, you can toss them into your compost bin.I debated over whether to ding these sponges one star or not. There ARE better sponges out there, but they're not biodegradable and often have bisphenols in order to be soft plastic. I figure the positives outweigh the negative, here. I'm always willing to give more points for products I could toss into the compost bin or know will fully biodegrade even in a landfill's anaerobic environment.

I want to give this product 5 stars, but I’m giving it 4 for one reason only. That is due to the packaging. This sponge is great, I’ve been using my first for fees now. Yes, it is starting to dissolve now but I’ve been using it every day for about a month. It’s time to move onto the next one, especially for sanitary reasons. I love that it can be completed and I don’t have to worry about it’s life after I’m done with it.This product would get five stars if they weren’t wrapped in plastic. I love this product but there is still the issue that the plastic packaging will never break down. Please please, just put these sponges in a compostable/biodegradable package just like your sponges are made to do.

If you'd prefer a kitchen sponge that lasts longer, doesn't stink, works better and looks great, this is the one. The day I found these, I was a happy woman. No more smelly sponges in my kitchen. These are more expensive to buy, but they last so much longer that in the long run, you will save money. GREAT FIND.

We have now used a package of 6 and are very pleased with the product. The sponge part is excellent and we use it as a sponge long after the scrubber portion separates from the sponge. We found that these last longer than the regular ones we have purchased at grocery stores and for us, being able to compost them is a huge bonus since we do try to limit our waste. We have purchased another dozen when they were on sale so the cost was very competitive with bulk purchasing the more traditional product.

The sponge part is great - it's holding up better than the OCello sponge part on the scrubber sponges. But the scrubber part is very weak (not very scrubby) and is falling apart.I'm not sure with how intact the sponge piece has remained that I'm convinced this is compostable.It holds odors more than other sponges, but not substantially worse. This can be addressed by squeezing out the sponge after use & not leaving it saturated in the sink (yeah, I'm talking to you, Spouse).If they made this as just a sponge I think it'd be a stronger product. Or make the scrubber part more scrubby.

These are excellent for doing dishes. As other reviewers have said, they don't last very long (I usually get about 2 weeks out of each) but they are excellent while they last and they can be thrown in the compost bin when done with them. THAT is the advantage.

A great natural and sustainable option compared to conventional green and yellow sponges. Lots of reviews demonstrate concerns about the longevity of this product; however, twist last just as long, if not longer than traditional sponges. Tip: get a sponge drying rack and wring your twist sponges as best you can after each use (this will lengthen their lifespan)Overall, love these sponges!

Me han gustado mucho, tengo como un mes usándolas y no han dañado mis trastes ni sartenes para nada. Lo único malo es que son de color blanco y se les nota fácilmente el uso, la que he estado utilizando ya no es blanca, es como color grisácea café. Pero fuera de eso están muy bien!

Long lasting and ecologically friendly scrubbing sponges. The only very minor negative was the scrubbing side of the sponge could be slightly more abrasive.EDIT: 4 months on, the sponge I reviewed in October has only just had to be replaced. Unfortunately the price of a 6 pack seems to have gone up quite a bit!

The sponges look nice and durable, but I am very disappointed that they come wrapped in plastic. Really defeats the purpose of buying something to be "waste-free" when it continues to create waste.Will be looking for a more sustainable option next time.
