Sturdy plates but my only complaint is that when the fork or knife rubs on it such as when cutting a steak, it squeaks like fingernails on a chalkboard. Love the color, love the plates but hate the squeaky noise.

I love these plates. The colors are solid, they are a nice, heavy plate. The rim is an appropriate height, making them very easy to wash. The glaze job is flawless. I own salad and dinner plates and bowls in red and blue. I love them, the kids love them. They're great overall plates.They don't stack as tightly as something like Corell, but that's not why I bought them.

A little smaller than thought

These plates are nice enough, nice glossy surface, but they are very heavy. I will not use them much, unfortunately.

I bought these plates because the ceramic plates and bowls that I usually buy at department stores always end up getting chipped from everyday use, and some of them can't be used in the microwave. So I bought COLORcode cereal bowls as well as these plates and I'm very pleased with them. They're sturdy enough to stand up to microwave use and cleaning in the dishwasher without a scratch. Definitely restaurant quality dinnerware that's also attractive.

I have started using an older set of china my mother had that are white with a black design. Problem was there were only saucers and large dinner plates... nothing smaller to use as a lunch plate. So I ordered the above plates. They are the perfect size and a good sturdy weight. I'm very pleased with this purchase!

I was afraid that these would be more like soup bowls becaus of the other review -- they are not. They have a narrow rim as stated in the description, but ate NOT a bowl. Shiny black, fairly heavy dishes, are just what I was looking for! Came on time and were packaged perfectly. Good purchase!
