This may be a get what you get product given the negative reviews & videos. These worked great for me. Easy to install and connected well. Would purchase again if needed.

This item was a great purchase. I only needed one but got three extra for the price of one this item. I cannot find them in my store only on Amazon I give it a 10.

I decided to purchase this after the lighter plug in my old car stopped working.There is no denying that the price is great! (3 plugs for 10 bucks) and the material seems like a durable thick plastic. It was rather easy to install and the included cables are great.The only issue I have with it is that whatever you plug into it seems to 'slowly' slide out and lose connection. I don't know exactly why this is but it happens very often. Maybe it's the internal design or because it is mainly meant for boats and not cars? Anyway, it works. I just have to be checking that my devices are not without power every now and then.

Perfectly Functional waterproof cigarette lighter socket with fused wire kit This is not a super high current cigarette lighter socket. It is perfect for my lower current needs. It is waterproof; or rather weathertight, and not submersible. It comes with a red and black colored wire kit. There is an inline fuse holder on the positive lead. The socket connections are ¼” spade terminals There are unfair remarks left by some reviewers whom it appears expected something different than that from the clearly worded website description. This is NOT a 12 volt 30 Amp cigarette lighter socket or 12 volt 30 Amp wiring setup. I have attached photographs showing my application and the 29mm carbide tipped hole saw that I used to make the perfect sized hole. It comes in a kit with two spring loaded pilot drill bits and the Allen Wrench for the set screw. I used it to make a perfect hole in mild steel sheet metal. I used cutting oil. I used it mounted on a drill press. Of course, I had to deburr the far side edges with a deburring tool.

I use these on the back deck of my UTV for chain saw sharpener.

They work, but most plugs are extremely loose and fall out pretty easy.

I actually replaced the cigarette lighter in out '06 Buick Rendezvous with this. *NOTE- This is not to be used with a cigarette lighter- power port only* Since we do not smoke, we only needed it for a power port, so no biggie for us. The original was a snap in, but one of the tabs broke so it would move around when plugging & unplugging. Since this is threaded, if it loosens up, I should be able to retighten it. The power in the counsel for the rear seats broke in the same manner, so I actually replaced 2 in out car. I did have to use some butt splice crimp connectors as I had to cut the factory plug off (may vary by vehicle) but I just used the supplied harness & trimmed it just after (eliminating) the fuse holder. That circuit is already fused, so leaving the fuse in is likely to force you to rip it back apart to change the fuse . Heck, I still got one left.

Good value compared to the store options. Seem decent standard and have locking mechanism, light cabling and 10amp glass fuse included for each socket.
