Great for the price, but the few issues can create problems.
For what you pay, it's probably worth it. However, it does have a few problems. I bought this to go with my windows 7 htpc build. The green media center button actually brings up media player, I have changed the settings in windows that are supposed to fix the problem, but that isn't working. The green button does work correctly in media center application. I was able to use LM Remote Software to intercept and fix this problem. The "Full Screen" window button that allows you to toggle between a window on the desktop and full screen view works except it also changes the channel at the same time it changes the window size???I understood from the beginning that the volume button would not control my TV. I tried to program a Logitech, Phillips and L5 Remote I learning mode by using the output of this remote, but could not get any of the aforementioned to work. The biggest problem are the channel up and channel down buttons. They work, but you must take great care not to press them too quickly. If you try to quickly scroll through channels with this remote, media center will lose the antenna signal on all tuners. I have four tuners and it loses all four of them if you press the button up/down too quickly. I do not have this problem with the keyboard.Everything else works as indicated on the remote. If I could program a universal remote from this one, I'd give it 4 stars. If the channel changing issues were fixed, I'd give it 5 stars. No matter what, it's worth the price if you have nothing else.

Near miss
Offered as an MCE remote (Amazon search) it was not and lacks the necessary navigation buttons. Returned and replaced with another remote that is MCEUSB.Otherwise seemed a perfectly acceptable remote.----Media Center Edition (MCE) remotes are designed to control PCs running Microsoft Windows with Windows Media Center. MCE remotes come with an external infrared receiver that connects to a PC via USB.

Decent MCE Remote for the price
I bought this remote mainly to run Windows Media Center, but have enjoyed the extra features like mouse control. I'm sure the manual covers it, but I enjoyed using it even more once I found that the toggle button toggles between WMP and general Windows functionality. It seems to be a decent build quality.

Won't wake computer from sleep. No good.
Works fine but you can't wake the computer up from sleep. Making it pretty useless for Windows Media Center or other Media Purposes. Very disappointed. Using windows 7. If someone knows how to make this wake from sleep let me know as I have tried it all.

This works fine (with a bit of getting used to)
This works fine (with a bit of getting used to). But most of those buttons are irrelevant to the typical user. If you want to feed your laptop into your TV or receiver then you will probably need ONLY the "mouse" functions.

Functional
Functional. The buttons on the remote feel comfortable. And while the IR range for the remote isn't that great, the receiver works fine with my Harmony remote once I learned the controls. The buttons map as keystrokes rather than IR messages. I'm sure the default key codes work fine with Windows Media Center in Windows 7, but it took some creativity with AutoHotKey to get useful key functions in Windows 10.

Love it
Makes watching movies on my PC that much easier. Don't have to keep on getting up to change to another movie or channel. There is no need to have the remote pointed in a set spot for it to work; the range on it is awesome.

Wireless Remote Control
The mouse control is a little awkward to use at first, but with some practice you will get better at it. It has lots of other features that are very handy if you want control of your computer from a far.

Good remote for using a PC as a TV.
I bought this as a birthday present for my boyfriend, as the only thing he wanted was a "remote control for my PC so I don't have to stand up to change the volume". And so I found this PC remote. He's now had it for about a week, and I assume it's still working. It arrived quickly, and when it did arrive I tested it on my laptop - it worked exactly as described, no need to install drivers or anything. It was the same on my boyfriends PC. We've both upgraded to Windows 10, so I was pleased that it worked with that OS. The mouse bit is a little slow, but all of the buttons seem to work ok, and my boyfriend had fun trying to see what they all did. It's also a bit counter-intuitive to have to aim your remote at the sensor instead of at the screen like you would with most remotes, and the signal doesn't seem to bounce as much as regular TV remotes, but we soon got used to pointing it at the tower where the sensor was plugged in.It's a great little remote, works well and is surprisingly cheap. Overall we're happy with it!

Works Well!
I purchased this from Amazon.co.uk simply because it was not available from Amazon.es, which I thought was strange, but anyway. This is the second one I've purchased and they work quite well. The little sticky on the back of the remote antenna does not stick very well but I fixed that with some GOOD double sided tape. The range is good but you tend to have to aim the remote at the antenna which is OK, I guess. It says Windows 7 but we have Windows 8.1 and it works fine with that. It serves our purposes and was not a lot of money so good buy. I would recommend it.

Media Centre Remote??
Overall, this remote is a great piece of kit, and for the price I don't think you'll find better. I have rated this only 4 stars though, I hear you cry. Why is that? Well, I ordered this remote because it looked good and was really cheap, so I was expecting a cheap and nasty little bit of kit, but I was wrong. It's a good, sturdy remote, it feels good in the hand, and the mouse function is brilliant. Unfortunately though, it has a small drawback. I checked out the reviews and ratings of this remote on Google before I ordered, and sure enough, it said compatible with Windows 7 64-bit, however having just set it up I found the one small flaw that loses this remote a star. The Media Centre button on the remote doesn't open Media Centre, it actually opens Media Player :-(, which is a drawback for me as I plan to use this remote whilst in bed, and find it difficult to see the cursor from 10 feet away. Other than that though, you can't go wrong for under £6, can you?

Nice remote for Windows
Personally I was looking for a remote (or, IR-receiver) that would work in Windows 7 64-bit and that I could program my Logitech Harmony One -remote to control Mediaportal software with it, so I bought this remote. At first I noticed that this remote actually works in W7 as before I had a remote that didn't work in W7 at all. It took me a while until I realized there is one key that switches the behavior of that big round button in the middle between mouse cursor moving and arrow key presses. The setting stays as long as you press the "mouse switch" key again.Mediaportal did not recognize this remote right away, so I had to map every key one by one, but at least it worked that way. Anyway, Logitech didn't recognize this remote at all so I had to "teach" the IR commands for it, and that made me pull one star out of five. Another star goes because of missing number buttons, as it means I cannot use teletext in Mediaportal. All in all, this remote should work pretty well in Windows Media Center and software like that, and even better if you don't use TV functionalities.
