Very nice kettle
This kettle is an iconic design in the UK and is very nicely engineered. It is heavier than you would expect but nicely built and ergonomic. It is very easy to pour, to add water and to turn on and off. Unlike some Dualit products - but like all other electric kettles that I know of - it is made in Asia but it is nicely (though not perfectly) built. Highly recommended.

Works wonderfully! Love my Dualit
I love my Dualit electric teapot. It heats the water extremely fast. I also like that it turns itself off. I don't have to worry about "leaving the kettle on..."

Clean look
After 2 weeks researching I decided to go for the Dualit brand. It is my first time owning something from Dualit.Simple, elegant and funcional. My kitchen has a refresh look with these beautiful kettle and toast.Love it!

Returned
I didn’t care for this and exchanged it for the Dualit jug kettle. I particularly disliked that the base was plastic made to look like chrome and it generally seemed flimsy. The jug kettle is great and not much more money.

Moderately expensive, but so worth it for me.
After spending loads of time investigating electric kettles and time using electric kettles only to be disappointed in them, I finally decided to consult an expert. I have an English friend so I asked him what kettle his family uses. After a trip to the kitchen to see what kettle was on the counter he came back with the name Dualit. This Dualit Studio kettle is definitely not inexpensive but I bought it anyway because of a recommendation from a friend who has it and who uses it. I've had an expensive electric kettle with all kinds of temperature settings, timers, and signals. I only ever used the on/off. I got a very inexpensive kettle and the heating element blew out in the second month. The Dualit has one switch: the on/off. The Dualit is BPA free which is good since the entire body of the kettle is plastic - no insulation at all between inside and out so be careful with this one, the kettle body gets hot but the handle stays cool. The kettle will hold 6 cups of water if you fill it to the MAX line. Six cups will take six minutes to come to a rolling boil; four cups takes four minutes and so on. I like the wide clear strip down the side because it makes it very easy to see the water level. The top has a lever type device which you pull back to open the kettle. Be aware that the lever has a line of metal around it and that little line gets warm/almost hot when the kettle boils. If you are interested in brewing different types of tea that require specific water temperatures, you can experiment with the kettle to find how long it takes to reach the temp you want. I'm not quite that picky so it's not a problem for me. You can stop the kettle at any point in the boil by simply pulling up on the on/off switch. The kettle has an auto turn off function if there is no water in the kettle when the switch is turned on. I am loving the simplicity of this kettle with the satisfying "thunk" when I turn it on and when it turns itself off. I'm mot having any issues with scale on the metal floor of the kettle but I live in an area of very clean water.

saves water (can boil just 10 oz.)
The beauty of this kettle for me is that it will boil just enough for a 10 - 12 oz. cup. In other words, it saves water. I also love the English design (having owned one of these years ago in London).

Cheap, flimsy plastic
Sorry Dualit, I love your products usually. I've owned the Dualit food processor and blender when living in the UK as well as kettles and toasters. However this was the first Dualit item I've bought in the US and I sent it straight back. Its incredibly poorly made, thin cheap lastic - I was expecting it to be sturdy, heavy and metal. It was flimsier than a $18 kettle I purchased from a supermarket!

Heats up (a little too) fast
This thing is near perfect! Heats up water SO fast and holds a large quantity of water...but, I’m taking off one star for the lack of ability to change the temperature. The water is too hot for tea if you let it heat up until it clicks off.

Best Kettle ever!
I tried several prior to this one after my kettle of 5 years died. Having arthritis it is difficult to pick up and handle a kettle with water in it. This one is awesome. It is lighter, compact, comfortable and sturdy. I highly recommend it - price is higher than others, but totally worth it!
