What does the product smell like? Does it have a chemical odor? I'm looking for something with a pleasant scent.

Not sure what products you have used before but I may have a guess...Anyway, this product line has a very clean scent and this particular product smells very fruity floral; if that makes sense. I get compliments daily on my hair and specifically how good it smells. I love this entire line I did use another very popular curly girl line but it did smell very chemically and it made me ill.

Does this come in a plastic or a glass jar?

Hi, the jar is all made of recyclable plastic. We cannot use glass in haircare products packaging for health & safety reasons. We take nature and environment very seriously and we are working very hard on reducing our use of plastic and carbon footprint. Unfortunately, since hair care products are most often used in bathrooms - wet and moist environment - using glass instead of plastic is not a reasonable option, as it could fall and break too easily. From a health & safety point of view, we cannot use that material.
