These shorts are PERFECT. The outer layer is cute and breathable. The lining underneath is the perfect amount of compression. And THEY DONT RIDE UP. It’s a miracle. The length is also exactly what I was looking for. I’m 5’6 and they fall abt 4 inches above my knees. I workout in them. I bike ride in them. I pair them with a casual button down. Exactly what I needed for this hot Louisiana weather. My suggestion is GET THEM.

I would give these shorts six stars if I could. My husband LOVED them. They are very comfortable. The outer material is light weight and allows air to move through. The inner level has the perfect weight, not heavy but perfect to holds things in place. The inner pocket is secure. I well buy him more. My husband would not buy anything new. He older but still very active. He is short for a man. Long shorts look bad on him. These are a wonderful length on him. I will buy him more. I am so happy to find something he loves.

5’4 110-115 currently female, needed shorts appropriate to my works dress code and these are near perfect! First, glad they had an XS option! With the price I needed guarantee of fit. Had previously purchased from shien men’s athletic shorts that were more standard gym material with a liner, but could only find small. Even with the drawstring they were too baggy for my waistline and I gave them to my boyfriend. I’ve been with my company over 5 years and have never found or felt comfortable wearing a pair of shorts to work until now! Thank you! Dress code is solid professional colors, black, grey, navy, khaki, jeans, sweatpants, leggings, or shorts to mid thigh. The compression liner comes to about mid thigh when stationary making them passable, though with movement they require some readjusting of the bottom hem for looks. The top mesh is airy enough to keep them professional to my eye, whereas only having biker shorts I don’t feel comfortable at work personally. The mesh also isn’t too loud, as was my only concern from prior reviews to my own purchase. A slightly longer version would be perfect. The way the inner liner is sewn is comfortable for females as well, no ridding up in the middle or need to readjust down there at all during the day with my constant movement. So even though they’re tailored for men, they work for us too. The inner liner pocket is only on the right leg, so as a left hand dominant I found that slightly disappointing as I normally do have the option with pocketed leggings. What I do love about the pocket is the top flap that folds over to help keep your phone secure, that is an amazing feature. The front pockets can give the illusion of zippers from the product images, they’re actually just design details, so if that’s a requirement for you these will not due. Though before you go I must say, my phone has yet to fall out of my front pockets wearing these already 3 full work days moving constantly bending, squatting, and lunging, as it has done constantly when I’ve worn a high rise drawstring modal jogger to work that’s pockets also didn’t zip. On these only the back pocket zips, and it’s again only on the right leg but this does not bother me near as much, and I actually prefer the look. The drawstring is sturdy and makes adjusting as a female ideal for bloating or monthly changes, plus they keep me feeling secure when wearing my work apron. I don’t feel as if my pants are going to pull down. For anyone who may wear things around their hip these will stay secure while hiking, climbing, etc. The hip towel hook meant for tennis players I find useful to keep my microfiber polishing cloth dry and separate from any towels stuck in my apron or debris I’ve picked up to toss. This specific color is the most compatible to my wardrobe outside of work making them the perfect selection for my first purchase, I have since bought multiple other colors complimentary to my work shirt I’m waiting to receive so I can then compare quality and sizing consistency in a future review. Great shorts, true to size. I've been machine washing and drying these after each workout for the last 9 months, and still look and feel like new. I have both the style with the small holes and without, and much prefer these with holes for vigorous exercise (without them, the shorts can catch air and puff up on a squat, for example). Downside is that some of the holes show the white back of the fabric sewn underneath on the seam instead of the inner liner color, but overall a really great pair of lined exercise shorts
