Q: One more question - the diagram shows wiring direct from aux battery. Wouldn't this meter stay on all the time when not in use?

This unit uses the top, main Positive to power the unit. No power is applied on the auxiliary positive. So run a wire direct to the aux source, and use the ignition hot to control a relay connecting the main battery with the volt meter main positive. I grounded into my switch panel negative buss. Simple and effective.

I am not familiar with your ausdin panel so I do not know.

No, it will not interfer. It is two (2) sepereate circuits that measure the voltage of each battery. When the isolator has them connected (caharging) or if you have them connected in paralell they read the same.

Yes it would stay on. The main you could put it onto any "key on" circuit on the fuse box. The AUX would need a switch.
