QuickVu Digital Wireless Backup Camera System with 4.3" Color Monitor

The camera works as expected and no wiring needed. I had done a lot of research to finally come across this camera which doesn't require wiring with the reverse light of the car. The only thing you would need is a longer screws which can be bought at your local Home Depot. The longer screws are required to mount your existing license plate and the new thicker camera attachment. I included 4 pictures from different lighting so you can see the clarity level. In complete darkness, the infrared LED light is turn on to assist with the camera assuming Auto-Night Vision mode is on.

When I first installed this on my 20 ft camper it wouldn’t work so I read some of the reviews and tried changing the perfectly good batteries for other ones and to my surprise it started working. We made our eight hour trip to the beach, and when the camera would quit I was able to tap it with the handle of a screwdriver and get it going again. (That trip was the first week of April.). It’s now the end of July and I wanted to see if it would work again. I tried the screwdriver thing...nothing...new batteries...nothing...it’s dead, and the monitor keeps saying camera a and b can’t be found. I should have listened to that little voice in the back of my head when I was first looking to buy this that said...”DON’T DO IT!”...$300.00 is a lot of money to pay for something that works once then dies.

Okay product, not so great, not so bad. But the plastic of the camera unit is not sturdy. Especially, The screw area is easily breakable as happened in my case if screws are fastened properly. Sometimes I get so much interruptions on the screen. I don’t understand the reason why.Before I bought this backup camera, I thought it would be a very good quality product. I’m not fully satisfied. Within the first 4 months, I had to go through a repair process already.

I installed this camera in March 2019. It not only works great, but I only now have needed to install new batteries, July 2020. They lasted for 15 months!

Great camera system! I did a lot of internet searches before finding this digital, wireless system. The only possible challenge may be mounting the camera in a manner that does not obstruct license plate information, and/or illumination. This depends on your state vehicle plate design, speciality plate(s), etc. Initially, I am impressed with the system. The installed price is low compared to a low-cost, professionally installed system.

Pro: Very easy install and it works as expected. Cons: Only minor issues really, I had to buy longer license plate mounting bolts to install the camera. Also since I didn't want to glue the enclosed mount to my dashboard I purchased a Kenu Airframe Pro mount (thru Amazon) which allowed me to attach it to a dashboard air vent.

I love the product---- pure simplicity works like describedMy fault that the 2006 Buick license plate is BELOW the bumper severely limiting the distance camera can see behind the bumper trying to figure out easy way to change the camera mounting angle to see further back

Camera worked OK for a couple of months. After month 1, seemed foggy or something. Thought maybe it was dirty. Around month 3, monitor could not connect to camera. Thought batteries were spent. Opened it up to find it full of water, rusted parts, corroded batteries and electronics. Tried to return because it isn’t waterproof but was denied. Do not purchase unless you only drive your car where there is never rain, puddles, or car wash.
