Kensington 60066 Articulating Keyboard Platform With SmartFit System, 30-1/2 x 11-3/4, Dark Gray

I love this product. Fits under the desk and was very easy to install. The keyboard remains in front of the desk, but can also very easily be moved under the desk and out of view. It's extremely solid and well made. It swivels back and forth and allows you to position exactly where you want. I read some of the other reviews and have to believe that its user error. When you lock the lever in place the keyboard tray doesn't move a millimeter. Great product and perfect for my needs. I even ordered a second for the other computer in our house.

The keyboard would be perfect if when it's placed at the higher levels (even w/ edge of desk or higher) it actually stayed. As soon as weight is placed on the tray, the tray drops down to almost standard tray level. I purchased it for the higher level because my desk sits to low for my comfort. Also, it's a pain to have to readjust the tray everytime I use it so I just leave it out because where I have it set it still won't go under the desk. Unfortunately this means I lean over my keyboard to work at my desk. I would have been better off spending the extra money on one that holds its position automatically.

The mechanism that holds the tray platform in it's vertical position was never really very solid -- I couldn't put much weight on the keyboard without the tray platform moving down. Over time, it has gotten worse. Now I have to rest the tray on my knees to keep it from falling all the way to it's lowest position. This is a major flaw. A total waste of money.

I needed a wide platform and this was the widest one on the market, so I grabbed it. Good Kensington quality, except that the vertical clutch is not th e strongest, so sometimes it does not hold well.
