Kids Draw Big Book of Everything Manga

If you are searching for a comprehensive book on how to begin drawing manga characters, this is the one you should get. I've collected a lot of how to draw books over the years, but this one is by far the best one yet. With loads of full colour illustrations, lots of information and step by step breakdowns of the drawing process for each type of character, this book is wonderful and makes drawing these characters a lot easier, even for a novice. I definitely think this book is just as good for adult artists as for kids. It's a big book that will keep you drawing new things for hours. Recommended for all ages.

I’m an professional artist so I’m fussy about art instruction books, especially made for newer artists. My 14 year old granddaughter likes to draw and is very good. She recently started drawing manga/anime. I bought this book and when it came I was very pleased at how clear and easy the steps were to draw everything in it ( BIG a book too). I’m giving it to her today, no doubt she’ll love and use it. Well worth the money!

I worked as a cartoonist and illustrator for years and was familiar with Chris Hart books. My own girls (8yo) were a little intimidated by my skills, so I bought them a book they could learn from (and I could teach from). My only advice is to get the BIG books by Hart. A lot of the smaller books are collected in the big ones and you'll just repeat yourself starting with the smaller ones. Great stuff for beginning artists from young to old, to get basics of cartooning down without wading through all the serious stuff. Nothing out of place here, perfect for young minds. When you want to expand be certain to look inside books and get the one that speaks to you, that makes you want to draw, that makes you feel you can draw.

“Maybe they could add actual animals k stead of the author’s original characters rip off pokemon”. Those were my sons words. He’s in fifth grade and really into drawing anime lately. He received this book as a gift. It was delivered by a third party to the absolute wrong address. Luckily for us, those homeowners were super nice and drove it to our house. Even luckier for us, my husband was home when they did. I digress, the book has very good step by step instructions and I was rather impressed with how well my son started drawing after looking through it. I recommend it 👍

This book combines Mr. Hart's Kids draw Manga, Manga Monsters, Manga Shojo and Manga Fantasy all into one book.With easy to follow steps, cute monsters and fun characters you con't go wrong. Great book for the beginner artist as well as another that's been drawing for years.As a cartoonist in training, I find this book helpful in my cartoon art.

This book was great for my 10 year old son getting into drawing anime. The pictures are great just wish they broke down step by step a little more. But still great

My 11 year-old daughter enjoys art, so she borrowed this book from her school library. Her skills at drawing Manga (or Anime, as Americans call it) specifically have soared incredibly. She now applies the skills to other drawings of people and characters. Since she had to return the book to school, I bought this for her from Amazon. Amazon definitely had the best price of any retailer selling this book (£8 or £9). Small price for what it has provided to my daughter in terms of skills and artistic expression.
