Reefer approves
Amazing and very silent. Super strong and the application lets you control what it does at every hour of the day.

Great wave maker pumps with a great price!
This review is for the wave makers performance and not the company Reef and Marine selling them. I truly like these wave makers, They are bluetooth and can be controlled from your phone or tablet. They are super adaptable and have tons of settings, they can be program them to change every 30 min. Because of the way they mount they can be set to push flow in almost any direction and can be cleaned very easily if the flow gets to weak. There are a few issues with these wave makers that hopefully Aqamai/ Hydor, will address to make these pumps a must have for any tank.First thing, these pumps are a little lacking in power and cannot be programmed or synced with other pumps of the same type.. To function as a wave maker with more than one pump. You have to turn the other pump on at exactly the right time, to get them to function together. Then if they are turned off or the power goes out they have to be reset. Also in wave mode you have the option of selecting how low down to 5% and how high up to 100% power to creat the wave type you want. You can also set the the timing between waves the longest being 2.5 seconds. The wave timing needs to be able to be set at longer intervals. Also what I have noticed is that no matter how low you set these pumps, they won't go below 45% power In wave mode. So if you set your wave from 5% to 100% it will function as a wave but it is realistically only slowing down to 45%. If you set your wave to start at 45% and drop to 5% you won't even feel or see a difference in flow. If these pumps would drop to 5% like they claim they would be amazing. Also these pumps are a little loud. In a normal room with normal noise you cannot hear them, but in a silent room you can hear them from across the house.. Last thing is every so often one of the pumps will make a very loud and strange squealing noise, that last for a few minutes then it goes away as quick as it started. If Aqamai / Hydor can address these issues, these pumps will be one of the best wave makers on the market. Combine that with the thier super affordable price they would be untochable for the competition.

Not what they said it would do
Water just moves in a circular pattern. Not much of a wave action going on for the price there is better out there

Suitable for a Softie Reef
I had 2 on my Red Sea Reefer 425L. I like the magnet mount; you’re able to rotate the pump to various degrees. I also like the controllability. The app worked well for me. You’re able to change settings every 1/2 hour. You can have several modes: constant; wave; night; smooth; random. There are also some vague preset modes SPS, LPS, Planted, FOWLR and BlackReef. It would have been nice for an explanation as to what “BlackReef” is.The thing that I don’t like is, the pumps are rather weak. I find the Flow to be very broad. Since I already have these pumps; I use them as supplements to my other pumps. I keep them at the rear of my tank and have them directed to the front of my tank. There’s no risk that these will tear away tissue from your corals.Perhaps these would be better suited if my tank was soft corals only or if the tank was smaller.

Awesome Wavemaker
I’ve been using the smaller version of this pump (KPS), it did wonders on my 36Gal.I’m trying these babies on my 120Gal, like four of them! A little bigger than I expected but, it’s okay. We’ll see how these KPM(s) are made of👍🏻
