Good quality picture. Plus it records audio too.
I bought this system at the beginning of the year, so have had plenty of time to get used to it. My system is the POE NVR 4x4k cameras with *channels available and a 2gb hdd. POE means Power Over Ethernet and basically means the cameras operate from one data cable. It does not need a separate power cable to run to it as the power is fed from the NVR (Network Video Recorder) along with the data feed. The cameras look well made, solidly built and a piece of cake to set up. They are recognised by the NVR immediately they are plugged in at both ends. Obviously, as they are not wifi, you need to run the data cable to where you are going to site your cameras. How difficult that becomes depends on where you want your cameras. Me, I’ve put some High up under the roof soffits and above windows. That way I’ve run the data cable in the loft, through the edge of the roof line and through the soffit. I’m then able to fix the camera in place from the window opening underneath. By doing this also means I can access the camera at any time safely even though it is high up (no wobbly ladders required) If you’re thinking of doing the same then you’ll need to by some flexible cable rods to use to feed the data cable through the gaps and holes. They don’t cost much and without them you’re going to have an unnecessary stress. A reasonably capable DIYer should have no big problem fitting the cameras with this system. At the NVR, all the data cables fit in the back along with the one power supply that serves the NVR and all the cameras. You have the option of either connecting to a TV via HDMI cable or AVI to a computer Monitor. It comes with a mouse also. Once that’s all connected you are presented with a very short wizard process to set things up and then, hey presto, you’re up and running in no time. There is a wealth of settings available with the NVR user interface. You’ll get the best out of the system if you also connect a data cable to your house internet router. That way you can utilise the phone app it comes with and view all your cameras on your mobile phone. You can then use the option to save some footage into cloud storage. This is an additional cost. I don’t know any more on that as I don’t use that function. You also get a mini cd with software on it for you to use with a computer if you want. Plus the instruction manual which is comprehensive at 103 pages. I’ve printed a copy off and have it to refer to easily as I’m viewing the system. The NVR also has space for extra hdd. It says it can take up to 8gb. So if you expand you cameras there’s potential to increase your memory capacity also. There’s so much you can do with the system. You can adjust the colour, contrast, brightness of each camera. You can set the quality level of the footage; whether you want to record all the time or only when the PIR/Motion sensor of each camera goes of , or at set times. And you can do this for each camera individually. You can create an alarm zone for each camera so it only sets off in a particular part of the scene. You can then set it to either set off the NVR alarm, or just flash up full screen on your monitor or set an email alarm. The NVR alarm is very loud and I haven’t found anywhere that allows you to adjust the volume. So use this wisely as it will start to annoy you otherwise. Perhaps if you put a camera at the front door you may find it useful. But I’ve switched it off for all the others as it will go off every time the PIR/Motion sensors trigger. On this note, the sensors can be sensitive, but you have settings in the system you can change to help. It will depend where the camera is positioned how much false triggers you’ll get. Where some of my cameras are, are prone to react to sunlight and shadows. So I don’t have the alarm set or email notification either, otherwise mi nibox will be overloaded with constant false triggers. The other cameras I have connected work great and don’t have false triggers. So like I said earlier, it depends where you camera is fitted as to how much youyr going to get out of the PIR/Motion sensors. The picture quality is stunning with sharp detail. Plus it has sound as well. We’ve had one incident outside on the street. Someone was removing number plates from cars. Our footage, even zoomed in, showed the assailant very clearly and the vehicle he used and it’s number plate, and this was given to the police. The nightime pictures are good also. They use the Infrared light to create a greyscale picture in the dark. The Infrared shows up as little red dots around the camera lens. They light up just enough for someone to notice a camera (i.e. a potential burglar) but don’t actually create any light for them to see in the dark. So, by now, you’ve figured out that I like this system. It’s up to date, great quality cameras, great picture quality and with sound recorded. I’ve had no problem with any of these POE cameras, and in fact, I’ve got 2 more to add to the system.

Once you get your head around it, it's GREAT, with TOP SUPPORT!!
So, like everybody else reviewing this, it's a bit complex to start with. Remember when you bought your first computer, and there were discs, wires, bits of hardware, and oyu had no idea what any of it did? Well, this CCTV system reminded me of the early days of home computing - how on earth does this all go together??But don't panic - "Milly" gives incredible customer support for this system via Whatsapp, to you personally, answering any of your questions, and posts videso, screengrabs etc back to you, to show you what you're doing wrong, and how to fix it.My first big mistake, was thinking that I could get access to the DVR Recorder box and CCTV system via my PC, because I loaded the disc that came with the system onto it... when all I actually had to do was turn over the channel on my monitor to the HDMI input, and lo and behold, there were all of the settings, and it was not as frustrating as it initially felt. There are essentially 3 systems working together - the DVR recorder box, which records as much or as little as you want from the cameras, the Online PC based App "IMS300" where you can go online ON YOUR PC and watch live or playback etc from the cameras, and then there is the PHONE App "VSS Mobile", whre you can be basically anywhere, and still look at your camera feeds, and playback, or watch live, it's truly great. But what you have to understand ( and I hope that this makes it easier for someone out there) is that initally, all of these components are very separate, eg, you have to attach the CCTV cameras to the DVR Box, but then get the PC App to "see" the DVR box online ( via router etc) and then get the VSS Mobile App to find the DVR box too, via a few passwords and QR codes.Trust me - this is a great system, but it's not a half-hour out of the box and it's all working as you want it to - prepare to invest a serious amount of time, as there are a very generous amount of cables attached to all of the cameras ( I opted for the wired version, NOT wireless due to wall thicknesses/lack of signal) But, you will learn as you go.I opted to plug in all of the cameras to test the system, before drilling my Home to shreds to run all of the cables, and began to learn how it was all working. But again, the biggest headache I had was trying to find the settings for the DVR Box, which were easily viewable on the channel I'd plugged the lead into on my monitor, and accessed via the included USB mouse. I cannot state enough how long this menu of software and settings eluded me for, I was genuinely tearing my hair out with frustration, but it was there all along - I just couldn't see it!!! MY FAULT!! Milly sent me a video of how the box was connected, and I suddenly realised I'd just been looking at the wrong "screen input" on my monitor, but something as simple as this can be incredibly frustrating in the face of a brand new bit of kit, and a million miles of cable! The cameras are VERY good - pictures are very clear, night and day, and they're easy to mount, and playback is a doddle on the phone App, or watching LIVE whenever you want to check.I'd never owned a system like this before, but it is worth the effort, and the support from Milly is superb - just expect it to take a little longer than you'd really like to set it all up, there is a lot involved, but that underpins a GREAT system once set-up, we LOVE IT :)

Fabulous Customer support
The system was easily set up and functioned as intended. However the installer put in a password that he did not want to share following a disagreement over another electrical issue with my house (Fuse box fire)... The Team Tonton Security responded, walked me (a complete IT novice) through the process to reset the password and now I have full access to my system.System works well, has good range and the fact you can zoom images is great even if you lose some detail as it is a digital zoom. It has picked up some great wild life in my African Garden. Thank you Susan!

Brilliant!
This system is brilliant. Wonderful colours by day and clear black and white images at night. The company is up-front and honest and very helpful if you get into difficulties, though frankly, it is so easy to set up there shouldn't be any. I had a very faint rainbow line on one of my cameras. All it was, I hadn't connected the coaxial plug all the way. Once I discovered that - it's working perfectly. Would recommend this system, for security and for nature lovers.
