Easy maintenance, compatible with Hydroflask, and lifetime warranty
I got this when I started college more than 3 years ago and this guy has survived everything. I've dropped it, filled it with acidic orange juice, filled it with hot chocolate, left it on a heater, filled it with soup, left it filled with tea for 2 weeks and everything in between. The steel is high quality and thicker than most flasks. It hasn't rusted and the body of the bottle has not lost its vacuum. It's also easy to wash off smells / tastes. The steel becomes brand new again if you use a bottle brush and a few teaspoons of wet baking soda. The lid is harder, you need to first remove the silicone seal and scrub the little books and crannies. The silicone seal is the only part that might retain smells or flavors in this bottle, so make sure to wash it with soap and soak it in alcohol if needed. The company will send new seals if yours deteriorates too much.In the 3 years I've owned this bottle the insulation has been phenomenal. Cant speak for hot drinks but this keeps ice all day. The only problem I've had is with the lid. The removable silicone seal tends to pop off under too much pressure or if twisted too tight and it retains flavors. The sound of metap on metal can also be loud before the threads wear smooth. Still, it's a weakness of steel lids and I think plastic lids are way worse when it comes to flavor retention and shape distortion so it's a good tradeoff. I've also found that the "handle" at the top tends to become loose easily. I've gotten a paracord handle for this but the company has told me they're willing to send me a new lid. A+ for customer service!PS that's water not rust in the bottle
