Updated: While the seller either couldn't or wouldn't accept a return or provide a refund/exchange they suggested I contact Amazon directly to seek satisfaction. Amazon has agreed to refund my purchase price once they receive the item back. I am satisfied with this. I changed my rating from 2 stars to only 3 starts because, I am getting a refund, but in my opinion the item should have lasted for a long time. Less than 3 months is not okay.I purchased this item in late June for my granddaughter. I am sad to say it has already broken. The circuit board inside the light has broken and the night light no longer works. Definitely not worth the money I paid for it. Very disappointed in this product especially since the previous one we owned lasted for 3 years and was only replaced because it was lost.

Other than the fact that it looks more like a donkey with a horn than a unicorn which is hilarious. The product is hard to turn on for a 3yr old. Both my son (now 8) got the dog one when he was younger and had trouble turning it on by himself. Now my daughter 3 1/2yrs old got this one and is having the same problem. But over time my son learned and loves his (product is now 5yrs old and still works great) uses it every night to read in bed. I love that it turns itself off after he falls asleep. A regular flashlight is a battery nightmare.

This was a replacement for my daughter's first Flashlight Friend which had it's LED light actually wear out from five years of constant nightly use. She was very happy to get a unicorn this time around and continues to use it nightly for bedtime reading. I love that it has a timer so it turns off on it's own without wasting the batteries.

Both my children have one of these and they love them. The only thing I would say is that the light is VERY bright - if the room is dark then I recommend not looking directly at the light. Little kids might look at it directly so that's a bit annoying but the product is excellent and helped with the kids going to be bed happily. It's also useful to find things in the dark or walking them to the bathroom at night.

Great product; it's cuddly and fun and my 3-year old loves it. She "reads" with it at night which enables me to leave the room without having to wait for her to fall asleep. I love that the light automatically turns off after 10 minutes so I don't have to worry about wasting the battery.

I purchased this for my niece and the flashlight stopped working the day after we gave it to her. we tried replacing the batteries and the light still didnt work. the leg on the unicorn also had a rip in it. appears to be low quality construction.

I bought two Flashlight Friends (the unicorn) for my daughters ages 2 and 5 and they have been a smashing success with both of our girls. We no longer have nightly battles about leaving the lights on and both girls sleep with their unicorn in arms reach every night. The light is easy to turn on, very bright and stays on for about 10 minutes. We love them.
