CLIFFORD JAMES Men's Classic Brogues Genuine Leather with Leather Soles

The shoes look really nice and well made.IMPORTANT. As with other reviews they come up FAR too small.My feet are a size 7, I couldn't get my foot into a size 7. I swapped for size 7.5, should have got size 8 as I could get my foot in but it was cramped.To CLIFFORD JAMESplease address this sizing issue. Its your reputation that's being affected. No use making a good product if its description is not fit for purpose. I have paid for two lots of delivery now because of your inept description of size.To CUSTOMERSThese shoes look really nice and classy. If you decide to buy, check other reviews and consider your shoe size needs. I would have been more than happy with these shoes. But I feel like I've flushed my money down the toilet because the stated shoe size does not reflect the real world.., well not in my case anyway.

Repeat purchase as you can’t beat the shoe for fit, design and price. Bought several pairs over the last couple of years and never been disappointed. I’ve bought expensive brogues from high end retailers before but they’ve not lasted the test of time in comparison to the Clifford James brand. I walk over 15 miles a week (according to my tracker) and in terms of comfort, reliability and durability I swear by them. Don’t hesitate in purchasing you won’t be disappointed! Nov 2018

Not giving 5 stars just yet because they need to last a bit longer than the few weeks I've had them. The shoes fit me pretty much as expected. Sometimes I get into an 8 shoe, sometimes I need a 9 so the 8½ was the one I chose and they fit OK. They look really smart and far more expensive than they actually cost. Leather soles was a an unexpected feature. I'm considering getting the Oxford's in black if that's anything to go by.

Today l received my 3rd pair of Clifford James brogues. (Blue Suede) l now have all 3 colours plus brown Chelsea boots. The fit is consistently perfect and the comfort is amazing. They are the Best value for money in this category and quality shoe and l highly recommend them to all gentlemen!! Joe.

my experience of purchasing a pair of Clifford James black leather brogues size 8. I ordered 5 pairs of shoes in the same week including a pair of Clifford James brogues all in size 8 my normal size. my feet are average wide classed as 'G' medium width. my 5 pairs were all different brands and styles/prices. all brands fitted me except for these Clifford James for they were too narrow and tight. very uncomfortable to wear even in thin socks. so what a few others stated in their reviews was true for me these are a small/tight and narrow fit not a true 8. so maybe wise to go one size up.The shoe itself which costs just short of £20 is in reality a very cheap shoe in todays prices so...what can you expect? bare in mind probably £5 of the £20 will be taxes so in essence the shoes are £15 ones..not a lot of money. to be fair I was impressed with the upper leather which had a good deep shine. very smart black brogues I thought. the soles are stitched leathers too which you dont expect for this price. they are a very hard stiff leather sole merged into a rubbery base. they certainly dont give much when walking. I get the impression they should wear quite well considering the hardness but I think that compromises the comfort of wearing them. time will tell.my first pair were delivered promptly but as I said were too narrow/small so I contacted the seller via email for an exchange. the reply was a denial that the sizes were small for a 'G' width which I dont accept at all. I replied they should read their customers reviews! I was also told by the seller they dont pay for returned its my responsibility. not happy with this I phoned them. the man on the other end of the phone couldnt have been more helpful. in fact he emailed me a pre-paid return postage label. top marks to Clifford James customer services.from posting them back and receiving replacements in a bigger size only took 4 days. impressed. however upon opening them I found a gash on the toecap of one show which I wasnt happy about plus worse still the heel on the other wasnt glued properly. disappointed to say the least but can one expect perfect every time on £15 shoes?. again I returned the second pair again using a pre-paid label for another replacement pair. praise again to Clifford James another 4 day turnaround and finally my third pair arrived...at last all good!To sum up....not a bad looking pair of smart shoes for a small price. even PU fake leather shoes normally cost more then these....I'm thinking third world sweatshops here to produce these so cheaply but hey I'm not complaining much as I'm not rich. make up your own minds on these shoes...they look good enough. cheap price....smart shine..but tight narrow fit for their listed size....good seller in customer relations...will they wear well? who knows but we're only speaking £20 here. I would imagine for that price any time over 6 months to a year would be value. I think they could last much longer to.

Like others I was sceptical of the price to quality ratio but these shoes are amazing. The look great and fit really well. Upon delivery the soles do not look leather despite the ‘leather’ stamp on them but amazingly they are really tough shiny leather. I am nit picking here but I should have looked more carefully before I ordered as the heels are 1 piece solid rubber and my elephant like gait will wear the heels very quickly. I’ll see what my local shoe repair guys can do before I order another pair.

These shoes are unbelievably high quality for the price. Really well built. In terms of fit, I am a size 10 1/2, but the 11 was way too big. So I bought the size 10 which fits, so I would say they come up slightly larger than expected. I returned the 11's using Clifford James return process, including a free return courier. Excellent. Top product, top service, very low price.

This shoe is the worst pair of shoes I have ever bought, the material is inflexible and rigid, it's very uncomfortable as it refuse to flex with the movements of walking, you can't walk anywhere in them as they blister your feet, the material is very very hard, as a result I have to sooth my feet after each outing, I was hoping that after extensive use the shoe would become more comfortable, but this is not the case, I have had these for over a year now and they are not getting any better, I would not recommend these, if I could get my money back I would, I will probably dump these in the bin and forget about it.
