Great Accessory for a Tent -- Sturdy, Comfortable and Inexpensive
I took two of these air mattresses camping for a weekend and they were great. While an electric pump would have been easier, the hand pump just takes a little more time and effort. We added just a little bit of air to them after the first night because, according to the instructions, they fully stretch out after about 7 hours. But that was all we had to do. They stayed fully inflated and firm in a tent for four days, and were slept on every night and sometimes during the day. The downy finish is nice and soft, although we put sheets on the mattresses. It was really convenient to get two pillows with each mattress included. They're not feather pillows, but they are decent, especially if you forgot to bring anything else to lay your head on. Considering they cost me about $20 each, and after reading some of the other reviews, I didn't have high expectations for their longevity, and I probably wouldn't have complained too much if they only survived that one camping trip. But I don't see any reason why they won't survive at least an entire camping season. They are well-made, sturdy enough for tent camping and as comfortable as you can get for a $20 mattress.

Comfortable, Useful, Practical
FIRST USE It did seem to lose air the first night, but this was expected and isn't unusual for a new air bed. I'm not entirely sure why, but I think the material expands some during the first use, making it need more air to feel firm. So we added more air the next morning and it seemed to hold it very well. We slept on it for the rest of our trip (a few more days) quite comfortably. CAMPING We originally bought this for camping last summer. I really loved it. I used to be able to sleep on hard surfaces, but now that would be too painful. I would not have been able to go camping without this. After we setup our tent ( Coleman Sundome 4-Person Tent ), we put this airbed inside it and inflated it. It fit nicely, and we were still able to fit our suit cases, coolers, etc, in the tent . It was just the right size for us (2 adults, and a small dog). HAND PUMP I thought this would take forever to pump air into by hand, but the "Double Quick Hand Pump" really does make a quick job of it. And it's much quieter than electric air pumps I've seen, so it's okay to use when others are sleeping. GUEST BED We have a futon, but it's been over-used and is no longer comfortable to sleep on. So now when guests stay with us we put the futon in the bed position and put this on top of it. This airbed is much, much more comfortable to sleep on. And this setup looks nice. Even though my futon is a full size and the airbed is queen, it seems to fit rather well. It raises the height, making it look like a regular bed. When we do not have guests we keep our futon in the "sofa" position and the deflated air bed & pump fits right underneath it for storage. PILLOWS, I have never used. Maybe they're fine, but I'm just not interested in air-pillows.

Queen Airbed with Pillows
We bought 2 queen airbeds and pillows mainly for camping purposes, but also to have when family comes for a visit and bringing their kids. So far we have used the airbeds only for camping. We are very pleased with them. They are truly "queen" size and my husband and I shared one and we had plenty of room each. Pumping up each mattress took about 10 minutes using the included hand pump and my husband broke into a slight sweat while pumping them. I don't like my mattress hard so he didn't pump it up to full capacity. The air pillow just wasn't very comfortable to use, it's better than nothing but we all tossed them and used regular pillows instead. My husband didn't much like the deep grooves (big tubes) which formed the airbed mattress, but it didn't bother me. I kind of liked it because I could lay with my bony backbone between the round tubes and in the deeper grooves and found it rather comfortable. We did not notice any air leakage from the beds. My husband and I shared one airbed while our 2 kids shared the other. They seemed to be as full the next morning as they were when initially pumped. The airbed material seems durable enough, but I would lay something extra underneath them if they are to be placed on a surface with rocks underneath. We camped out in our backyard in a tent on a relatively cold evening. It got down to around 45 degrees F. The mattresses of course radiated the cold from the ground right up to us so a few blankets on top of the mattress helped with that. And we let our dog sleep in the tent with us. She's an Eskimo Spitz with a lot of fur. She didn't sleep on the airbeds but beside them and the airbeds collected a good bit of her hair, but that is really no problem. (We're used to her hair being everywhere anyway.) Deflating the airbeds was fairly painless. Once the plug was pulled and after some basic squashing of the airbeds was done, it was easy to roll them up somewhat tightly to get the remaining air out of them. We plan on using them while camping a lot more this summer and if they turn out to be failures I will certainly update this review. But for now, I am pleased with them and feel we made a good purchase. UPDATE: 6/30/09 We went on a week-long camping trip last week and used the airbeds the entire time. They worked out perfectly. Maybe some air loss by the end of the week but not enough to be a problem. They were very comfortable to sleep on especially when a flat sheet was placed on top of them. The only thing protecting them on the underside was the tent floor and a tarp. They had no sign of damage whatsoever. I highly recommend these airbeds for camping purposes. The pillows however, were not very good but still usable if lightly inflated.

Worked great for a camping trip for an adult and 2 kids.
This mattress was easy to inflate with the provided hand pump on a camping trip. It took about 15 minutes in all to inflate and deflating it was easy too. We had an adult and 2 kids squeezed in our tent on this mattress and it held up to all the tossing and turning. It fitted in a 4 person (9 ft X 7 ft) tent with room to spare on each side. It would just about fit a 3 person tent. It did not leak air, at least not that we noticed. It's good to put a tarp down under the tent though just in case a sharp rock decides to poke its way through. We had carried duct tape to repair if necessary and the box had an extra patch in it too but it was not needed. The pillows came in handy too, but they didn't seem to have the opening to let air in pierced so we tried to pierce them on the camp site and ended up ruining one. This was a great price for a camping mattress and pump and bonus pillows. Cheaper than the stores at the price just over 20 bucks but price on Amazon tends to fluctuate quite a bit so keep an eye out for when it drops. From previous experience I've found that if the rubber underside gets a small hole in it and nothing seems to work including the repair patch, get a quarter (or a dime) and super glue and stick it right over the hole and let it dry overnight. For some reason the metal seems to bond really well to the underside rubber and plugs up the hole. I am not sure if the same would work for the top. I had taken an extra sheet to throw over this mattress before bedding down in our sleeping bags. It helped keep the dirt off the suede surface. I wouldn't recommend walking on this mattress but it holds up okay up to 400 lbs of weight on it.

This is a great mattress. Don't believe the hype.
When I bought this mattress, it sold for 23.99. After reading some of the reviews I was a bit concerned, but I thought how bad could it for the price? Well, it's not bad at all. It's a great mattress. Here are a few things that you may need to know that aren't clearly explained in the instructions and were mentioned in some of the reviews. These would help make this a great purchase. 1. This mattress does not leak. When you are pumping it up, make sure that the area where you attach the pump is screwed on tightly. If not, it will cause the mattress to lose air. 2. In order to completely deflate the mattress, you have to completely unscrew the knob. I think this is what cause some to think you can't get all of the air out. Indeed you can. 3. Once fully inflated, like all air mattresses, it's going to stretch. So you may need to add air because of it. 4. The hand pump can be used to inflate the mattress. It may take you 7-10 mins, but it works. It does appear that it isn't working but make it an exercise in the process. 5. The pillows are an added bonus. They do the job. I guess people are looking for the comforts of their home. They are air pillows! If you are in the market for a mattress, go ahead, get this one. I think it a remarkable deal for really comfortable air mattress.

Intex Classic Downy Queen Airbed with 2 Pillows and Double Quick Hand Pump
UPDATE: 24 November 2014 Ok, even though I am positive there was a warranty on this product, Intex states that there is no warranty and that they will NOT stand behind there product. They were very sorry, but hope that did not prevent me from buying their product again. Well, for my own part, I am not happy with the performance or with them not standing behind their product. So for me, I will NOT be buying from their company again. But that is just my opinion. My recommendation at this point is to NOT purchase this product. I also think that AMAZON should clearly list that there is NO warranty rather than putting in a statement that the warranty can be obtained by writing to Amazon. UPDATE: 23 November 2014 Ok, after less than three months, one of the center waves failed on the bed and now it has a very large bulge in the middle of it! Tried to find a contact for warranty, no such luck. Found the company website, but there does not appear to be anyplace to file a warranty claim. Filled out an inquiry on the company website explaining problem and asking for assistance. I then contacted Amazon and asked them to provide warranty information. So, I am now waiting on both companies to see what the next step is while having a bed that is not functional. I should tell you that the bed has only been used by one person who weighs less than 210 and NO one has played or jumped on the bed. Also, the bed is on a supported frame and has a two inch foam topper on it to protect it. I will update this once I have resolved this issue one way or the other. I am currently listing this as a one star due to lack of ability to contact anyone and for having this fail within 3 months. ******************************************************* I was looking for a temporary bed to use for guests and had a platform to put it on. So, when I saw this item, I decided to give it a try. Here is what I found: 1. This fit the platform very well once it was inflated. However, the bottom and sides of this mattress are very slick and make noise as well as moves a lot on the metal bed frame. I solved this problem by putting down an old thin blanket on the platform and putting the mattress on top of that. No more squeaks and no move moving around on the frame when you are in bed. 2. The hand pump that is included with this works well, but it can be quite tiring. Expect to spend 10 minutes or so inflating it. 3. The mattress smelled a bit like vinyl when I first inflated it, but that dissipated within a couple of hours. 4. The mattress seems to hold air well and did not stretch very much during the first couple of days of usage so only a minimal amount of air had to be added. 5. Most new bed sheets are made for a deeper mattress than this so do not expect fitted sheets to work unless you specifically bought them for a short height mattress! I put a two inch foam topper on the air mattress and then stretched the sheets to fit over that and the top of the metal bed frame. This worked for me and also as a side benefit keeps the mattress in place if you bump into the side of it with no one on the bed. I am very happy with this purchase and think that it works quite well. I would recommend it to anyone with a similar need. I did not need the pillows, so cannot attest to their functionality or comfort.

Used once and had to replace
We bought this to use at my parents house for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It worked great for Thanksgiving and it held the air each night (3 nights). We deflated it and stored it. When we came back for Christmas I blew it up only to find my kids on a mostly empty air mattress in the morning. I figured I didn't tighten the nozzle all the way so we tried again. Half way through the evening I checked on them and sure enough it was about half empty. I blew it up again while they slept hoping it would hold until morning but no such luck. The next day I tried to search for the leak but could not find it. It was a slow enough leak to be very difficult to find. Thankfully Amazon has an amazing return policy and they shipped us out a new one. We've used it once since we received the replacement so we'll see what happens when we go to use it again next month. It is a 4 and 8 year old sleeping on the air mattress so we're not talking a large amount of weight on this thing.

Good quality worth the buy
I was weary about buying this after some bad reviews but decided to take a chance since it was fairly cheap and I just needed it for one camping trip. Blows up easy and holds air well. The first few nights it stretches and partially deflates but that’s normal with any air mattress so we made sure to blow it up and let it stretch at home before camping. While actually camping it didn’t deflate at all (I’m a bigger person and it withstood mine and my toddlers weight plus her bouncing around like crazy during the day on it. The material on top is soft and didn’t even need a sheet but we brought one (cuz toddlers are messy). It only took about 15 minutes to inflate with the hand pump and that includes my short breaks to handle my toddler. It deflated in seconds (the knob to hold air in actually twists all the way off I’m not sure some reviews noticed that) and can be put back on with no problems after. The pillows are small and uncomfortable but they worked under our personal pillows for a little more height. I was even able to get it all back in the box not once but after both separate times inflating it. All in all a great product for an even better price.

Brilliant air bed.
The bed arrived on time. We use it for a spare bed in the living room and festivals. It's great for both, comfortable and considering it's a manual pump, it's surprisingly easy to inflate and deflate. I would recommend this to anyone who is in need of a spare guest bed. If doing festivals make sure you have room to carry it as it's a bit heavy if walking long distances.

It's thick... Big and comfortable in 👍👍👍
The product is good.. It's big comfortable, queen size, it takes 15 minutes to fill the air.. And 5 mins to inflate.. It's nice to keep at homes, indoors but for outdoor use.. It's heavy to carry and takes little time to fold and keep it in place since its quite big and has weight... Overall it's wow!!! Must have product!!
