Read Frame Description VERY Closely
First allow me to say the seller had until Sunday and I received it on Thursday, which I was very appreciative because I was really anxious to finish adding some new artwork to my master bathroom and this frame was the last item needed to frame a beautiful Ruth Thompson Phoenix print, so I was excited to get it and very happy to get it early. Now, for the not so good part. When I pay $27 for a picture frame, I expect it to have glass in it, this one does not, I was so taken by the weathered grey wood, that it came in the size I needed that I did not take the time to read the fine print at the bottom that read "plexiglass", now, is it good quality plexiglass, yes, does it look like glass, yes, but do I think a frame without glass should cost $27? No, I do not. Before the Plague was upon us, I use to buy ALL my frames at Hobby Lobby and either waited for the 50% off frame week OR would use the 40% off coupon so I guess I am a little spoiled AND have high expectations for my frames because I have never bought a "nice" frame at Hobby Lobby for $27 that did not have glass. Secondly, not so good, the frame itself does not look very natural, it looks more like a manufactured "weathered rustic" than actual weathered rustic, and again my basis for comparison are the weathered grey rustic frames I have bought there in the past but they no longer seem to carry which prompted me to buy this one. Lastly, my Ruth Thompson print was purchased at a Ruth Thompson gallery so each print was expensively matted with not only the print and mat but thick carboard backing. Unfortunately, with the print, mat and backing it was TOO thick to fit in the frame so the tabs would hold everything securely in place. I oculd have stopped right there, boxed it up and sent it back, I wanted too, but I didn't so I ended up using strong packaging tape to tape the back of the frame to the frame itself so everything was securely in place. Had it been a thin photo/print with a thin mat, it would have worked no problem, but in my case I had to do a lot to make it work. Does it look good on my bathroom wall? Yes. Would I buy another one or recommend your buying it? No.

Don't waste your money
This is the flimsiest thing ever! Not to mention, the "plexiglass", aka plastic was completely cloudy and scratched when I opened the package! I ended up returning this piece of junk ASAP and found a $5 frame at Walmart that was better quality still. Don't waste your money.

Baffled by the good reviews
I am anything but picky when it comes to home decorating and this includes picture frames. My standards are very easy to meet, but this frame is just awful. I removed the film from the plexiglass and it has multiple scratches on it and is extremely hazy, not clear at all. It looks terrible and I wouldn't pay a dollar for it. The edges of the plexiglass on several sides are roughed up and could cut you. The frame has nicks and chips in it - not part of the rustic look, just shoddy workmanship. And I don't know why there isn't some way to secure a picture at the top of the frame because having only the two side and two bottom pieces result in the top bowing out. Neither hanger is centered on the back of the frame either. Other than it being shipped fairly securely, there is nothing good to say about it. I'm returning it immediately.

Filthy, splintered, and chemically treated sweat shop work
This object was so splintered and dirty, I could not give it to my loved one without first wiping it down with a wet clothes, scrubbing off the bits of grit and grime, sanding it down vigorously with sanding paper, and treating the wood with olive oil so it would not give the recipient splinters. I guess I got, what I paid for...?? No not really. It was probably worth a dollar, at best. Not the twelve I paid for it, certainly. Especially considering that laborers who made it were obviously severely exploited. I guess I fell for the trap, I wanted a quick last minute gift and cheap, because I was just about broke, and got conned into spending my money on crappy exploitative goods. Sometimes hard to avoid, but I'm not happy and I'm not proud I fell for it. It was usable after I worked on it and following my own investment of labor it was a good gift, and the recipient was touched, mostly because of what I put inside it and that it happened to match the photo nicely.

Real Barn Wood Feel!
So while I was surprised that this indeed has what appears and feels to be real barn wood. I was disappointed in the cheap backing and flimsy plastic "glass" front. To be fair, I did not notice when I ordered that it DID say plexi-glass in the description. I am however, sticking with my 4 stars because of how cheap the backing and supporting slides are. Plus the supporting slides (that keep the back secure to the frame) don't even go all the way around. They are only on three of the four sides, making it loose on one side. I added a cardboard backing from another frame to hold it tightly together. Because this looks and feels like real rustic barn wood, I am keeping it and will replace the fake glass with real glass some day. I do love the look of this frame, however I just feel like for $26.99, it should have had real glass.

Well..
It was a little less gray than I expected, I'd call it weathered taupe. One was a little grayer than the other and the weathered part on that one was a little less smooth, a couple of slivers waiting to happen, not sanded smooth. The product consistency is a little lacking. The back has only two clasps to hold it in place instead of three or four. A little less stable. I really like the look of them though, this size is hard to find. Once I do a light sand on the one they'll be fine and look nice as table displays.

Pay Attention to "Plexiglass"
The actual frame is nice, very minimalistic and/or farmhouse. The color is beautiful and the professional print I bought it for fit perfectly within the frame. My bad is that I did not pay attention to the fact that the covering is plexiglass not glass. I had looked at so many frames the day I ordered, I must have read right past that. Anyhow, it lowers the quality and feel of the product and it should be priced a lot less if real glass isn't provided.
