1/32 Revell He 111
BIG model (28 inch wingspan !!)Not for beginner modellers unless they are willing to have some patience, but armed with said patience anyone over 13yr's old should have no problem with getting it together. Just a LOT of parts. The fit is excellent if one follows the rule; Measure and dry fit twice cut/glue once !High parts count, excellent fit, very good detail, stunningly transparent and low distortion clear parts (!) A steal at the price for what you get !Eduard (eduard.com) has many detail photoetch brass detail sets for this kit if one wants to go farther. (the cockpit set really adds to the cockpit, bomb bay set is incredible and exterior set nice) Also available are resin detail parts, (wheels, weapons etc.) solid brass landing gear, and turned brass MG barrels from other manufacturers.Great kit, great price. Highly recommended for all modellers who have a few kit's under their belt already.

A 'Must-Have', for the Luftwaffe A/C Modeler...
One can on-line or to the book store and read all the reviews regarding this latest release from Revell/Monogram.As a 'modeler', pushing 60 these days, I say - "buy it", especially those of us, whom enjoy building WWII Luftwaffe aircraft. The kit is a 'beaut', nicely engineered, and has lots of detail. And those of 'us', whom enjoy the art of 'super-detailing', there is plenty of room, for this with the Heinkel. The kit is up there with their earlier release of the 1/32nd Junkers JU-88. And being 'cost conscious', the "Pro-Modeler" Monogram release, is less expensive then the Revell AG released kit [Yes, I am cheap...] Same aircraft model, just different packaging. If one wants a large-scale subject matter, of the HE-111, then this is it. I know, I built sometime back a 'vac' formed kit of the HE-111, in 32nd scale... WHAT A BEAR, that was. Lot's of work and frustration - But at the time, it was the 'state-of-the-art', for a large scale HE-111, if you wanted one in your collection. Believe me, this new kit, is a lot easier and better detailed. You want some fun - A challenge for a 'build' - A 1/32nd Luftwaffe bomber - Buy AND build this beautiful kit, from Revell/Monogram.Thanks -

Tenuous
I must be building a different kit to all those who rate this product so highly. This is my first PRO Modeller by Revell kit and I thought it would be something special. I thought PRO Modeller was an indication of its quality, not an advisory of who you have to be to build it. I've been building kits off and on for over 50 years so I guess I can bring a bit of experience to the project. I've built Revell, Airfix, Monogram, Hasegawa, Tamiya and more and almost always found their kits well designed and have some strength in their construction. I would describe this kit as tenuous as that word describes so much of the joins in this build. The makers have left so much for the builder to do.I would urge people who come to this kit, to read the instructions thoroughly and get familiar with all the pieces before you begin. The designers decided to make the engine nacelles in four parts, all edge joined only. The instructions then tell you to place the front of the nacelles. I would advise that you join 2 of the nacelle pieces then add the front before placing the rest of the pieces. This is the only way to give the construction any strength and something to control the shape. Then comes the adding of the radiator housing beneath the engines. Again all joins are very weak and there are gaps in the paneling where there should be none.I haven't finished this kit yet and I will add some photos when I get further into it and add to this review. I was originally attracted to this kit because I've always liked the lines of the Heinkel He 111 and for it to come out as 1/32 scale kit was very appealing. However I would advise, if there is another 1/32 scale Heinkel He 111 out there, buy that. I give it 3 stars because I believe I can get this build to look pretty good, but the manufacturers have given the builder very little help.

Excellent kit!
Detail is great, the fit of parts is Very Good. No crew included, but you can use 1/35th figures to appear to be refitting bomber. All in all a very pleasing build.

He111 Bomber
I plan to start this kit in the coming weeks, but my inspection of the model parts show this to be a very nice kit. I think it will be a modeled as a downed aircraft in the Battle of Britain.
