A bit of context: My son pees the bed here and there. We had already gone the route of nighttime pull-up, vinyl fitting sheet and the "waterproof" (breathable terry fitted sheets you see here on Amazon). Nothing does the job on it's own. The pull-ups are fine but were not made for a full bladder release. Vinyl fitting sheets just slushed around and tear with any type of opposing or piercing force with elbows, or toys etc. The "waterproof" sheets here on Amazon are water proof. The reason for the quotations is the sheets are not water proof when saturated. For them to be breathable AND waterproof they still need to have a porous membrane. Which they do, which means when he pees and lays in his soaked pull-ups face down, it permeates the sheets, the fitted liner, the two mattress covers (one zipper, one fitted) and sometimes the mattress. Yes, my son has a large bladder.Moving on to this product, I purchased the slightly larger one so that at its length, it just fits the width of a double bed mattress. I place it 2 feet from the top of the bed, positioned directly under his torso, hips and thighs. This placement gets me maximum coverage for when he rolls over. The breadth of the bed is secure. And we only have to deal with the wet sheets and the liner. Simply toss in washer, do the do and plop it back on when dry. I place it under the fitted sheets, on top of the fitted mattress cover, so that it stays in place even when he's moving around or doing other kid like things on the bed. Haven't had a problem yet. Now to deal with the bed wetting...

Lo compré para mi erizo que durante el día duerme en mi cama y fue lo mejor. Absorbe muy bien y es fácil de lavar y guardar. Muy recomendable. Sin embargo, cuando yo me he llegado a acostar ahí mientes mi mascota está en mi cama, la textura no se siente muy cómoda, inclusive te da un poco de calor. Nada grave pero sí se siente la diferencia entre la textura de una sábana y este cubre colchón.

I've used and tried many different types of so called 'waterproof' pads and blankets while night training my kids. Most of them are useless and soak through somehow even though they call them waterproof. This product is fantastic. It actually absorbs and is 100% waterproof and has never let anything thru to the mattress. The reason for this is clearly seen on the bottom layer of the sheet. It's an obvious waterproof material, but the top material (which the child lays on) is more of a soft absorbent type of material. It's the perfect combo. It's SUPER easy to throw in the wash. In the middle of the night, if there's a bed wetting accident, you simply pull this off, and use a fresh one or put them back on their original sheets that are DRY! Game changer, life saver. I purchased the larger size which is amazing because tossing and turning sometimes can shift the sheet. These are large enough that even with shifting, it doesn't matter because it will cover a large area and will stay under the child. Buy this. Save yourself the middle of the night troubles! You won't regret it.

Compre la medida 34" x 52" para mi pequeña que acaba de dejar el pañal. Esta medida cubre todo el colchón de su cuna. No permite que atraviese la humedad, no se mueve,ni se arruga cuando está puesto, aún cuando mi niña se mueve muchísimo en su cuba. Además, es una excelente alternativa ecológica para no comprar los protectores desechables.

I tried to capture a picture of the absorbent side, but by the time I poured the water and grabbed my phone it water was absorbed. So I marked out a blue line where the water got absorbed. The other side is a light green colour and pouring the water, placing the glass and grabbing my phone to snap, the water remained on the surface. So 5 out of 5 for water repellant properties.
