Simple, awesome, durable little machine
I adore this little guy! I don't have much experience with full-scale sewing machines. I had only used them growing up a few times under parental supervision. But, I had some projects I'd been thinking of (pillowcases, curtains, sewing up holes in clothes) and wanted to see if I could get into sewing, at least enough to get by. That said, I wasn't quite willing to blow a few hundred dollars for a potential hobby. So when I found this $30 baby machine, I was super excited - and it didn't disappoint. I think this little guy is perfect for anyone just getting into sewing, who doesn't want to commit to a full-size, more expensive piece of equipment just yet.Overall, it's a great size for a small apartment, it's easy to use/learn. Seriously, I opened it and sewed a pillowcase from a bolt of fabric without looking at the instructions once. That said, it comes with some thread already installed and ready to go, so as soon as I wanted to switch colors/put more thread in, I did have to go to the youtube tutorial to learn the basics - but the video is clear and simple enough to make the learning process quick. And hey, it's apparently durable enough/not so finicky that even a stumbling first time sewer who's allergic to reading directions can't mess the machine up too bad. Seriously, I'm shocked that I haven't broken it yet. Any time there's been a problem, when a thread's gotten stuck or something (no doubt due to user error) it's been obvious right away, and very easy to fix. Just keep going back to the youtube video when in doubt.Honestly, I've been shocked at the quality/durability of this product, given the size and the price. My machine now lives under my coffee table in my studio apartment for easy access, and I've already made: a pillow case, makeshift curtains (complete with a sewn-in pulley-string) a linen towel (just hemming edges), and have fixed a hole in a coat pocket and put adjustable straps/buckles on overalls (seriously, what kind of sick-twisted overalls don't come with buckles?).Best $30 product I've ever bought. I'm in love.

One of the best purchases
We have saved a lot of money by ordering this product. In general, we have altered tshirts, shirts, pants (not jeans yet), dresses and tops. The machine itself is easy to use once you figure out how to use it. The machine itself is not very sturdy but it works well. I wish there was a way to fill up the bobbin from a thread. It is compact and light weight. The material that comes it with it, eg: threads etc isnt the best but that you can buy separately. Overall not a bad product for the price.

Great Machine for Straight Forward Occasional Sewing
I use to do a lot of sewing in the past. I have made many different types of clothing. I had sophisticated machines which are needed for that type of sewing. I wanted this machine for straight forward mending. This machine is perfect for that. For the price it is high quality and easy to use. If you have never used a sewing machine it might be challenging to learn as it works pretty much like a bigger and more sophisticated sewing machine as far as the simpler functions. You can only sew straight with this machine and there is no way to change stitch length. So it works perfectly well for mending and possibly small projects that only require straight line sewing. I like the fact it has a light and a peddle operation. I mended a seam in a pair of cotton capris. It was fine. The one thing I found tricky to understand was winding thread on a bobbin. But after I read directions again and watched the online video it was clear. This machine does not however freeze the needle action in place as the bobbin is wound. Make certain the needle isn’t threaded. I would say this is a poor feature because it tends to wear the action arm down and allows for more likely malfunction over time. However since winding the bobbin should be an infrequent action it is less problematic. If you intend to do a lot of sewing and of course if you want more functions then you need a bigger and more sophisticated machine. But if you want something for straight forward mending or sewing a small project you can’t beat this for the price.

Trop difficile d’utilisation!
Pour le prix j’aurais mieux fais d’acheter une machine à coudre normal. Elle est retournée dans sa boite après quelques essaies
