Superb Tent! Great Price!
My husband and I just got into camping, and therefore needed a tent. It appears that currently this tent isn't available anymore through Amazon...I sincerely hope it's not because Suisse Sport has stopped making the tent!As a note, we are car campers. This tent is a bit too heavy & bulky to pack out into the wilderness. But for camping out of your car, it's great for the 2 of us.The first time we set the tent up, it took us maybe 10 minutes total. Now, we can get it up and totally together in less than 5.I find the tent to be very sturdy and durable...we have used it around 10 times since we purchased it earlier this year, and it's still in outstanding shape and condition.Very waterproof/weatherproof as well. We found ourselves twice in torrential flooding rainstorms, once near the Canadian border, once on the Olympic Peninsula...we stayed nice and dry and warm inside, and the bottom didn't flood and the sides didn't leak at all.We were debating between getting this tent or the Coleman dome tent for around the same price. The selling point for this tent was, and still is, that all 3 windows zip up, whereas the Coleman tent had open mesh on the top that couldn't be closed. I think that really makes this tent a winner, that you can have complete privacy, you can zip up if it's chilly outside, zip down if you need some air. There is mesh at the very top for venting. It is the perfect size for the 2 of us. I don't see how you could EVER get 5 people in that tent unless they were five very small thin people who had no desire for sleeping bags or changing position throughout the night. For most of our camping we used an inflatable mattress...somewhere between Double and Queen size, 2 sleeping bags, and our camping junk. This tent is the perfect size for that. We have recently changed from the mattress to 2 camping pads, so that really increases the amount of space in the tent and doesn't make you feel claustrophobic. We don't have kids, so I have no idea how little ones would fit in here with adults. All in all, this is a superb tent at an excellent price. It is sturdy, weather-proof, waterproof, very easy to put up (difficult but not impossible to put up with 1 person, lickety-split with 2 people). Great features. Bulky but who cares? It fits easily in a trunk space. Very highly recommended, and very happy that we purchased this tent.

Great basic tent
My fiancee and I realized our current 3 person tent would not have enough space for our queen air mattress and our newly acquired dog to sleep in. So 3 days before our camping trip, we had to find a new tent - Amazon Prime to the rescue. I'm 6'3" and hate having to practically do a backflip to change pants inside the tent, so I wanted a tent I could somewhat stand up in. And knowing that we were camping in the desert of Southeastern California where winds can come out of nowhere and destroy a tent, I didn't want to spend a lot in case it turned into a loss. I read the reviews on this one and picked it up for $67. It arrived the next day.Set up was a snap. Since it's just a simple dome without any weird side extensions, it uses just two main poles going through sleeves, and two poles across the rain fly. Super easy. We attached the rain fly with the hooks to the bottom corners of the tent, but didn't bother with the guy wires. Didn't use the inner "curtain" either, so I can't comment on those.Once up, I really liked the double opening front door. Made it convenient to exit the tent on one side, or open the door of the tent while laying down on the other side to let the dog out. The zippers seem to be good quality and never snagged, although I did have to use two hands to open or close the door. This may be prevented by pulling the tent more taut next time before staking it. The height of the tent was great and I was able to mostly stand up inside, which made changing or going into the tent to just retrieve something very easy. The windows seemed to work as they should, but we kept them closed to keep dust out. We set up our queen air mattress sideways, so we had room next to the mattress for dog to sleep, and a ton of room at the end to put our stuff.First night's sleep was great. Temps were in the mid 40s with no wind. My fiancee said it felt a bit drafty inside but I disagree. Second night, the aforementioned desert wind decided to blow early in the morning, with some pretty strong gusts. The tent held up fine structurally, although we did have to move the air mattress more towards the middle to keep the fabric sides from whipping us in the head - again, this may have been avoided if we pulled it more taut. I was afraid of losing the rain fly since we didn't use the guy wire, but it survived. As we were packing up and moving our gear outside the tent, the wind finally got the best of the supplied stakes and the tent started to blow away. We caught it, but this illustrates the downside of a tall tent, and the need for better stakes. I intended to pick some up but didn't have enough time before the trip.Folding it up in the wind was a struggle, and I was not able to undo the knot tied to keep the rain fly attached to its poles, so we had to cut it - my fault. And we were not able to fit all of the supplies back in the bag. We'll try re-folding it at home. On that note, it would have been nice if the storage bag had a draw string to pull closed.Overall, this is a great deal. It's not the best or most feature packed tent out there, but it survived some rough weather (my friend's REI tent didn't) and was plenty roomy and comfy for car camping. For the price, I can forgive the quality of stakes and storage bag, but it would get a 4-star rating if it cost over $100. I can't comment on how well it does in the rain (the tarp-like floor is a nice feature) or how long it'll last, but it suits our needs just fine.

The good, the bad and the ugly...
I took this tent on a long weekend camping trip. The set up of the tent was challenging mostly due to my being short and the tent being tall. It really should be set up by two people. Thankfully my neighbor camper felt sorry for me and helped hold the tent poles up while I raised the tent. The instructions are not clear about the rain fly but I did figure out where the two shorter poles fit. Once up, the tent was very stable and secure. I had better tent stakes but the stakes that came with the tent worked fine so I used them. Plenty of room for an air mattress and chair plus storage. I liked being able to stand up and walk in and out of the tent. Plenty of good air flow with windows on each side and the door. It rained and stormed and then got very windy the last night. I thought the tent would either rip, flood or blow away. It stayed dry other than leakage when I opened the door during the storm to take shelter. I had a little pond by the door that wiped up dry with a couple of dish towels. Taking the tent down was challenging because it almost blew away in the wind. The neighbor camper again helped me. I think I just am too short to set up and take down the tent alone. I did not waterproof the tent but would for the next trip. So overall it was nice but there were some problems with set up and take down and minor leaking by the door. Considering after the storm how other tents looked, this tent did very well. I did have trouble fitting the tent in the bag and will get a better tote for it.
