is it made out of polypropalene

Of course. Strongest stuff around. It's like someone duct taped a bunch of Nokia 3310s to a diamond.

would these be good for dueling

Yes! You will be amazed by how durible these polypropylene swords are, they’re perfect for dueling, in fact I’d go as far as to say there are no better practice swords in the world than the polypropylene ones.

Good for seven-year-olds to hit water balloons thrown at them?

Definitely, sounds like so much fun!

Is there a cheap but good sheath or scabbard sold separately for this?

The E bogu plastic saya sheathe was bought along with this item.
