De'Longhi BGR50 De'Longhi Reversible Grill/Griddle, Black

I've had a DeLonghi cast iron grill for about 20 years, and it just got too grimy and difficult to deal with. I LOVE THIS GRILL. It's easy to clean, gets very hot quickly, and is just wonderful.

Love this pan so nice and very easy to clean

This is my wife's favorite kitchen appliance, she loves pancakes and it does an excellent job. We have replaced part she cooks them on. The grill insert does not get used as much and it has held up better. I was going to purchase her a new one until I found out I could just replace that piece.

I bought this because it has a large grease tray that is the same size as the griddle so there is never any grease that comes out like the small pull out grease traps from other electric griddles. It's heavier than others and it does not have any cold spots.

I like the double sided feature. Easier to clean than most grills. Cooks evenly and true to temperature. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I wish the cooking surface was a bit larger.

I gave up my gas grill! This little grill grills hamburgers, steaks and chops like my old gas grill. However, I'm not out in the heat or cold with the bugs. Little to no smoke taken care of by kitchen exhaust fan. Controlled heat. Very easy clean up. Only con is splatter. I use an old towel over the stove which works fine.

Grill supposed to be dishwasher safe, but probably dishwasher killed it.It started tripping GFCI protection on outlets instantly after 6 months.Grill with faulty safety ground is unsafe and can kill you if plugged into an outlet without GFCI.Zinc coated tray under the grill started rusting after cleaning inside dishwasher.I chatted warranty department, first they pretended that they do not understand what is GFCI, I explained that it is two buttons on the kitchen outlet. Next they require to call tech support and record some video in the browser using smart phone (no warranty without smartphone). I keep waiting.I suggest to avoid all De'Longhi products.

My husband loves it and I love that he cooks more often and is cooking healthier foods. PERFECT!***UPDATE***6/12/16 - So we've had this only since April and my husband has LOVED cooking with it. I had been hand-washing the grill plate after each use without issue. Husband placed the grill plate in the dishwasher for the first time two days ago (which the packaging and directions claim is safe) and now the grill no longer functions. When we plug it in and turn it on it trips the outlets.I contacted DeLonghi customer service and after having their system disconnect me twice I finally got to argue with a representative for 45 minutes, reading the manual to her and her supervisor and having them look at the photo on said manual of the grill plate in a dishwasher before they would agree that we did not void the warranty by placing the plate in the dishwasher and they do owe us a replacement. (DeLonghi gets one star for customer service. I worked CSR for many years and NEVER would I have spoken to a customer the way they spoke to me.)At this point I learned that they don't actually store your registration information and they would send me an email so I could re-submit my receipt etc before they would accept my return. This was irritating, but not overly complicated. I submitted the receipt and received an email reply to cut off and return the cord only. Cut off? It detaches from the unit. Why would I cut it off? Whatever- I mailed the cord back on Saturday (at my own expense, mind you). Now I wait.Hopefully their customer service improves once you have initiated the replacement process, because so far I am less than impressed.***UPDATE #2***7/31/16 We FINALLY received our replacement unit. What a ridiculously long and complicated process! I feel fortunate to have actually GOTTEN the replacement unit since it arrived while I was out of town in the original packaging and was left on my porch for who knows how long due to not receiving any tracking information so that I could have the package held while I was away. Hopefully this unit performs as well as the other one did, but I guarantee you we will never put this "dishwasher safe" item in the dishwasher again.
