These are great! My 5 year old wanted walkie talkies for his birthday so I went searching on Amazon. After looking at what felt like a million options, I stumbled upon this pair. They're great!! Awesome battery life, so many cool options, good range. Easy for kids to operate, too. You can lock in the channel so the kids can't change it and not be able to talk to each other. The Vox option is neat, too we haven't tried it yet though because they love to push the button. Highly recommend!

I ordered these for my son’s birthday which is today. He opened them and was so excited to play with them. We opened the wallow rallies and put batteries in them. One worked just fine and the other wouldn’t turn on, I went to make sure the batteries were in correctly and they were but the batteries were super hot!! I had to get them out quickly. They is no way those batteries should have gotten hot like that in just under a minute. My son was disappointed and so was I because it was the one thing he had asked for.Update: customer service emailed me without me even calling and refunded my money before I could even respond. They sent another set of walkie talkies and the work amazingly! My son LOVES them! This company prides themselves on great customer service and product quality which is rare these days! When these walkie talkies wear out I will absolutely be ordering another set! I highly recommend them!

Work really well. Easy for my 5 year old to use. Small enough for his little hands. But sturdy enough too. I like the lock button feature so he can’t change the channel or volume etc.Might be a toy but I can even use it with my husband out in our garage and myself inside. The voices come through clear and there are even some extra features that will come in handySo far the only con is that it runs through batteries quickly if left on and goes from Full to empty with no indication of the battery life going out as it say it should. Will buy rechargeable batteries since 4 AAA batteries every couple days will get quite expensive.

I got these for my kids to use in play, as well as for when we're camping/hiking.They come in a box that looks nice for gifting. Inserting batteries is a bit difficult- the space really is tight so you have to use some force to get them all in there. I found it helped a lot to remove the clip to get the batteries in. The walkies take 4 AAA batteries per unit, so 8 AAA batteries in total. They do not come included.They were easy and intuitive to use. My 6 and 8 year old were able to use them without any instruction. The little LED light is a nice feature, one I've not seen on a walkie before.They are good quality for a toy- seem like they will work fine with normal wear/tear kids put on them. They are not the really rugged ones that will take a rough beating however. But the price-point is good for the quality you get.

UPDATE:USA Toyz contacted us and sent a really nice email apologizing for the performance of the toys and sent us a different replacement item. It is really appreciated that they responded to our experience. I know my kids will be delighted to receive something in the place of the walkie-talkies-which were a gift from Santa. Apparently, Santa can fix things year round!We returned these once because the one of walkie talkies were getting really hot from the batteries. This was after a week of use. We have had our second set for about a week and they are not working very well either. First, the next set when we received them were not in any packaging- they were in a clear bag with no directions. Maybe they were used? The batteries are really difficult to get to fit in which I believe results in the annoying habit of the walkie talkie turning on and off while moving around with it.They do have lots of features (which if we had directions we could figure out), are clear sounding, and can be used at a distance. Unfortunately, they have not lasted and we will be returning them-again. : (

These walkie-talkie's are great!The little boy I bought them for absolutely loved them. He played with them after we got them set up, right after he opened them for Christmas. He even stopped opening gifts for awhile while he and his dad, played with the walkie-talkie's. They have nice colors and are of awesome quality. They come with a built in flashlight, which was another hit with the little guy I had bought them for. Excellent product and gift all around.

Got these for our kids. One worked as expected, the other began to give off an electrical smell and became extremely hot! I changed the batteries out thinking it was a problem with them. The new fresh batteries became hot again to the point of scalding my hand getting them out. This is a fire hazard and needs to be pulled from shelves. There are several other reviews on here with the same experience.

My boys love these (9 and 7). We live in a thickly settled neighborhood with a large field in back. These work really well in an opened area. You can clearly hear the other person speaking. They like that you can use headphones with them. We were surprised that we could use these in the car up to a half mile away in a thickly settled neighborhood. Of course there’s a lot of static at that range but we’ve not found that for this price with any other walkie talkie. Well worth the money we spent!!
