I pre-ordered this camera with shorty stick bundle for 37k. The camera works awesome. GoPro produces the best image and video quality of all action camera's out there.If you are interested in this camera, it is important to know that regular class 10 SD cards that works with smartphone is not enough. GoPro needs high quality SD cards and only few models on SD cards work with Hero 7 Black.You can see list of compatible SD cards on official gopro site.If you use any other SD cards, recording will be terrible and the camera will heat up and freezeThe new HyperSmooth stabilisation is amazing. The shakes are very minimal and when I recorded running while holding it easy on my hand, the footage produced was very smooth and rich.The TimeWarp feature is amazing, it is something that no other hardware in the market can do at the moment. You can make easy hyperlapse right within the camera. No need for extra editing softwares.It is also perfect for slow motion. You can record at upto 240 fps.Waterproofing also works good.Only con I find is that is battery life is around 1 - 1.5 hrs. It feels like battery is dropping at 1% each minute even when just having the screen turned on. To improve battery life, make sure to turn off wireless connection before shutting down the camera.

Introduction : Being a YouTuber making new kind of videos every time, I was always fascinated by action cameras popularly, yet incorrectly always generalized to be GoPros. I have used Action Cameras by multiple brands like Xiaomi, SJCAM, Apeman, PROCUS, SONY, GoPro but they always had some or the other major issue and hence I never found it worth to invest in any of them, with the major issue being UI, Functionality and Stabilisation.Pricing and Purchase : I was pleasantly surprised that GoPro was releasing the HERO7 Black globally along with India and seeing the Hero 7 Black on Amazon was just exciting minus the hefty price tag of Rs. 37000 for Prebooking the Hero 7 Black with a Free Shorty Accessory. US pricing translated to about Rs. 29000 for the Hero 7 Black and so I was skeptical about purchasing this device here, but thanks to the Amazon Prime Sale and bundling it with SBI Card got me this for Rs. 31990, which is a good deal I believe.Unboxing and What's Inside : The GoPro Hero 7 Black retails in a hard clear box where the GoPro is sitting waiting for you to release it. The packaging was pretty neat and here's what you get inside :-1. GoPro Hero 7 Black with Basic Mounting Sleeve.2. GoPro Curve and Flat 3M Mounts3. GoPro Battery4. GoPro User Manual5. GoPro USB Type C to USB Cable.NO microSD CARD is provided in the Indian UNIT which is simply sad at this price.Setting It Up : Setting up the Hero 7 Black is a BREEZE and happens via the GoPro App available on iOS and Android and I set it up twice on both Android and iOS and the apps are pretty good and bug-free for the most purpose.Device and Hardware : The Hero 7 Black features a Removable Battery which is housed in a water resistant door that also houses the SD Card slot. The Hero 7 features a TYPE C and mini HDMI Port in another door which is to the side of the camera. The Hero 7 has a durable body with 2 buttons (one on the top and one on the side) for operating the device. Most of the adjustments are either made from the Touch Screen UI or the GoPro App. The Hero 7 Black is rated water and dust resistant but I frankly found a lot of the panel gaps inconsistent making me worry about the chances for substance ingress. Swapping the battery or even merely charging needs you to remove the entire GoPro from the tight plastic sleeve which is a bad design decision, but again, this has always been the case with GoPros.SHORTY : A small handheld selfie stick like device which will help you take Night-Lapses and Timelapses and VLOG easily. Built really strong.Main Modes and Quick Overviews :-1. Video : You may shoot in 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio but obviously frame rates and resolutions vary depending on what you select and stabilisation (HYPERSMOOTH) may or may not be available depending on the format selected. For most content creators, 16:9 should be the ratio of choice here, while shooting in 1080p. Video quality is pretty solid from the GoPro both during the day and night and you'll greatly appreciate the beautiful dynamic range from this GoPro in both photo and video. HYPERSMOOTH Stabilisation is just mind boggling, even at night and I'll try and upload samples here on Amazon, but if I can't, then do check out my YouTube channel where you'll find a detailed Unboxing, Impressions and subsequently even a review.2. Photos : Still photos pack in a lot of details and popping yet pleasing colours and night photography is also a great idea using the GoPro as we have plenty of long exposure settings to play around with. I can't wait to shoot star trails using the Hero 7.3. TimeLapses : Honestly need more time to try this feature out so don't wish to comment on it right now.Why You Should Buy It :1. Incredible Stabilisation that amps your creativity in any scenario - Best I've seen yet.2. Remarkable audio quality for considering using the GoPro Hero 7 for Vlogging even on a daily basis.3. Fantastic video quality with great colour science and options to customise for pro users, but the stock colours are pretty good.4. Sturdy build quality.5. Refined UI and friendly to use and master. - Voice Control, Swipes, Gestures etc.Important Things To Know :1. SD CARDS : You need the right type and class of microSD Cards for availing high frame rate shooting at higher resolution and incorrect or unrecommended cards cause hanging and freezing globally.2. HEATING ISSUE : GoPro's aren't tropicalized for India where it's generally very very HOT. So, shooting in higher frame rates and resolutions like 4K 60/30 FPS causes immense amount of heat, which may result in Thermal Shutdowns. This isn't a defect, but a demerit of the product which is extensively testing for adventures in colder climates. I recommend shooting at 1080p 60FPS or 2.7K 30FPS for consistent good video without thermal issues.3. Mounts are good quality to invest in, but expensive.4. BATTERY : Spare batteries are a must while travelling or vlogging. The existing battery lasts hardly for an hour of mixed shooting with Wifi On. **people who are having heating issues**1. It will do heat when recording 4k videos because it requires a lot of processing2. Use good quality, class 10 memory cards. Ex-samsung evo 32gb,64gb,128gb3. I have used basic memory card and have faced heating issues myself. So buy a good memory card.Coming to video and photo quality:I will give 10/10.The quality is unmatched by any action cam in market.It is worth every single penny.If you are in doubt, whether to spend crazy money on gopro, then here are some points for you:1. No other action cam provides gimbal like video stabilization.2. Video quality and photo quality is simple superb. You can check/compare videos on youtube.3. It is waterproof without external casing4. Product feels authentic5. It has got one press button video recording6. Has got voice commands, just say "gopro start video" and it willl start recording videos.
