True to its name
Shiva Rea seems to have an uncanny ability to find talent in unexpected places ~ Daphne Tse and Matt Pszonak for example, I hope we will hear more from them soon! All the tracks on this CD speak of the beautiful and ever changing quality of the water element~the ebb and flow of the tides, water dancing on the rocks in a streambed, the low roar of a waterwall ~ now don't misunderstand, the only "water sounds" on this album are on the first track and they are brief ~ what I speak of here is a brilliant and artistic use of musical instruments such as drums and the sitar and even human voices to create the quality and the "spirit" if you will ~ of the water element, which is also represented in many of the poses in Vinyasa yoga.In addition, if you place this Enhanced CD in your computer and download Quicktime Player there is an additional video clip of Shiva Rea's next workout DVD: Fluid Power; I think I speak for us all when I say that we can hardly wait for this one!Thank you again, Shiva for all you do to make our lives rich and beautiful.

Unique and interesting
This CD will grow on you the more you listen to it. A few of the songs border on techno yoga, but are still very good for a yoga class. "Crossing the Desert" and "Remebrance" are stand out songs that are great for savasana. There is only one song that I routinely skip over when I use it for class and that is "Sringara," because its a little too much like the scene in the restaurant in "When Harry met Sally." Too much heavy breathing. Overall, I would recommend this CD.

Soothing, truly reminiscent of water!
I used to listen to this CD as I drove and one day, I realized it had cured my road rage! I saw traffic as a stream of water, merging and blending and separating... No joke. It's really relaxing.

Jala
Whatever she touches and does is inspiring and a delight. I love her enthusiasm and special knowledge of yoga and the music that takes you there. Thank you Shiva for all your efforts and hard work. The music is great for classes and the musicians should be given more opportunities like this to shine.

I own 2 albums I love
But this one I do not like.It surprised me that it was Shiva Rae it was kind of mixed up with no flow through the album. I didn't like that they were mostly electronic music which sometimes I like, but when I get a Shiva Rae album I want to dance and Jala didn't strike me as dance music. I was very disappointed with the albums itself.

Smooth, sensual music
A female friend recommended this album. It's not for everyone, but if you're in the mood for some slow love.....

I use it to combat my road rage! :)
This CD is so soothing... I love turning it up in my car so the whole car just feels like it's floating in the water (in the jala). I listened to it for a while and subconsciously started to see traffic as a river, as a flow? Then when I lost the CD, I went back to being snippy and aggressive... I bought the CD a second time to get that feeling of flow back, to relax in traffic, and it worked as well the second time! I highly recommend this CD for anyone wanting to live in the flow! Great for hula hooping or meditating or trance.
